Time$%ased Equipment Process
his !usiness process descri!es the panning, dispatching and settement of time !ased
equipment' ime !ased equipment can !e singe# or mutipart equipment, +hich are shipped
$ia an E* shipping document and are setted due to time/days the" ha$e !een on a
recipient/ocation and its quantity' he shipping document ao+s the trac)ing of each
equipment %singe# and mutipart&' A time !ased equipment is setted periodica" +ith a fi-ed
price, +hereas it is not ree$ant, ho+ often an equipment has !een used %in operation&' A
t"pica time !ased equipment is a crane'
he time !ased equipment process starts +ith an equipment request of a pro6ect manager or
foreman' 7e needs a crane +ith a certain specification %e'g' 7oo) high ma-' 20 mtr'& for a
certain period' he pro6ect manager or foreman can either enter an E* requisition note
direct" !" himsef or he cas the equipment manager/administrator %responsi!e for a
equipment& and he than +i enter the requirement in the s"stem' After the equipment
manager has assigned the request to an equipment, it +i !e send out to the pro6ect'

Scenario Overview
Performance Based Equipment Process his !usiness process is used to record performed equipment hours, used amount of fue and oi
%e'g' iter&, amount of )iometers etc' for a pro6ect and to sette performance !ased equipment
%PBE&' PBE9s are setted due to its performed hours respecti$e" its quantit"' Performance
!ased equipment # most" $er" e-pensi$e singe equipment : are send out to a construction
side $ia a shipping document %for trac)ing&, !ut parae to this a performance !ased
equipment document %PBE document& is entered to contro the usage of singe equipment' A
t"pica performance !ased equipment is an e-ca$ator'
he performance !ased equipment process starts anaogue to the time !ased equipment process
+ith an equipment request of a pro6ect manager or foreman' 7e needs an e-ca$ator +ith a
certain specification %e'g' Po+er 80 );& for a certain period' he pro6ect manager can either
enter an E* requisition note direct" !" himsef or he cas the equipment
manager/administrator %responsi!e for a equipment& and he than +i enter the requirement
in the s"stem' After the equipment manager has assigned the request to an equipment, it +i
!e send to the pro6ect'
4ai" or +ee)" : depending on organi.ation rues # the performed equipment hours are entered
$ia a PBE document to the pro6ect/recipient' After a PBE documents for the period ha$e
!een entered, the settement can run, +hich +i recogni.e, that !eside the shipping
document for the same time a PBE document e-ists and +oud treat it dependent'
After the settement ist has !een created and chec)ed for its correctness through the pro6ect
manager or foreman the !iing run ta)es pace'

'on$Consuma%le Material Process
his !usiness process is used if standard materia, caed non#consuma!e materia e'g' site
faciities, adders etc' has to !e shipped from a +arehouse to a recipient %de!tor master +ith
enhanced E* $ie+& together +ith equipment in one E* shipping document or  has to !e
ta)en out of a maga.ine
(n !oth +a"s, non#consuma!e materia is gi$en !ac) to the maga.ine or the +arehouse $ia E*
shipping document after it has !een used' his sa$es time and costs for transports and
administrati$e effort' *aga.ines are a )ind of <itte pro6ect +arehouses < on !ig construction
sites/pro6ects'
he process in E* is caed <saes and repurchase of non consuma!e materia= to and from a
recipient/pro6ect # to and from a +arehouse' his means, construction sites <!u"= non
consuma!e materia for a fi-ed price and after the non consuma!e materia is gi$en !ac) to
either the maga.ine or the +arehouse a reduced $aue +i !e credited to the pro6ect
%automated repurchase process&'
;hen the periodica" settement ta)es pace, pro6ects get de!ited for the recei$ed materia and
credited for the returned materia' So the pro6ect pa"s a )ind of pro$ision fee for the usage of
the materia'
>enera" the settement of non consuma!e materia is !ased on quantit" and not on the time
period i)e time !ased equipment?
he cost charging and automated repurchase of non#consuma!e materia is fu" automated
handed $ia E*?
Consuma%le Material Process
his !usiness process is used for shipping standard materia, caed consuma!e materia %e'g'
concrete or nais& together +ith equipment in one E* shipping document to reduce
transport# and handing costs for pro6ects in construction industr"'
