2014 Family Medicine Summit: Crossing Bridges

November 1, 2014 Dear Colleagues: It is our honor to welcome you to the 2014 Family Medicine Summit supported by the California Academy of Family Physicians, the California Academy of Family Physicians Foundation and Dignity Health. Learning with one another (and from each other) is what family physicians do; and we hope you enjoy this time exploring your interest in family medicine! This meeting is undoubtedly the premier student and resident event for family physicians in California. This summit will be extra special as we are kicking off a campaign to highlight 2014 as the Year of the Family Physician (#2014YearFP)! The already invaluable roles of family physicians in the health care system will become more pronounced as family physicians become the focal point during health care reform implementation. Your Academy has made every effort to bring high-quality learning sessions that meet your needs – especially as you embark on residency training or your careers as family physicians. We’ve planned a full schedule for you – from lectures and panels, to social breaks, and a residency fair to top it off. We’ve invited some of your favorite faculty members, and are thrilled to introduce new presenters as well. If you have questions during the Summit, look for an individual with an orange “CAFP Ambassador” ribbon attached to his or her name badge. They’ll be able to answer your question or point you in the right direction. We’re very happy that you’ve chosen to attend and look forward to the opportunity of meeting you.
