A YEAR-ROUND HOME FOR THE COUNTRY IN THE HEART OF THE CITYThe Agrium Western Event Centre is where the country meets in the heart of the city, all year-round. Now you have more reasons - and more seasons - to wear your boots to Stampede Park.

The Agrium Western Event Centre is the new home of western events and agriculture education on Stampede Park. One of the largest projects in our 100-year history, this state-of-the-art facility was designed to connect urban and rural audiences through western events, exhibitions and sustainable agricultural eduction.

The Agrium Centre marks an important milestone in the Calgary Stampede’s vision of becoming a world-class, year-round gathering place. As the heart of the Agricultural Discovery Zone, the Agrium Centre is the hub linking recent infrastructure enhancements that, together, provide seamless service for all of our guests – two-legged and four-legged.

We customized the Agrium Western Event Centre with horses and livestock, competitions and education in mind:

Back-of-house and staging areas are tailored for the needs and safety of animals.

Features on an extra-large arena floor with seating for 2,500 guests plus VIP suites.

An adjacent exhibition hall provides a show-ring or warm-up arena, trade shows or concurrent events.

Designed for national and international western competitions, rodeos, and trade shows.

The rotunda entrance doubles as a weekday classroom for Agrium’s Journey 2050 program - an interactive education program that explores the challenges of feeding the world sustainably by the year 2050.

The Agrium Western Event Centre is possible due to the Government of Canada and Government of Alberta commitment of $25 million each to the Agriculture Discovery Zone, and contributions from our key sponsor, Agrium, and other funding partners. Their collective support helps the Stampede elevate its agriculture, western and outreach programs every day of the year.
