Masthead, this is what avid readers of this particular magazine would look for . This usually has to stay the same as it provides continuity for the audience. However, this is a June 1997 issue of this magazine, the previous “Top Of The Pops “ magazine I looked at had a completely different style. This is because as the era changes, so does style, music and fashion, to keep up with trends , the magazine had to change their masthead into a more attractive one that would be compel the new generation to buy their magazine.

Puff, this advertising a part of the magazine, here it is about gossip, on the more recent issue of “Top Of The Pops”, it focuses more on fashion and boys . This shows how the these two generations differ, and what interested young girls , teenage, in the 19th century and what interests girls in the current century. It shows the change in environment and music and how these two generation’s have been indoctrinated.

Puff, skyline, pug.; I can’t pin point what this actually is but I’d class it as all three. It advertises and promotes what’s in the magazine. It’s not show clearly here but it advertises celebrities that were big during this time. If you compare it to the 2012 issue, you’d see a huge difference, it advertise sexuality and engaging in mild activities showing how much freer and how much the new generation’s views have changed on sexual activities such as kissing.
