I-PATHWAYS STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

a 9th grade reading Level. good computer skills and be able to navigate the website.

Access to computer Motivation to work independently

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU THE STUDENT

Complete 2-6 on-line lessons per week

Attend on-site class two times per month

Check e-mail at least every other day

Establish post test times with the instructor

Pass lessons with 70% or better

THE INSTRUCTOR WILL

Will have on-line office hours on Thursday from 9:30-12:30

Will check student lessons within 48 hours of submission

Will provide feedback concerning assignments in a timely manner

Will communicate with students via e-mail or

phone once a week

FIRST ASSIGNMENT Write a short biography:

include your name, birthday e-mail address highest grade completed motivation for earning your GED. Tell something that will help me remember you.

E-mail this assignment within 24 hours of this orientation.

Save the document and e-mail it as an attachment to your instructor. (rbwhinnery@redwing.k12.mn.us)

IN RETURN You will be registered in the program You will receive your username and

password via your e-mail from your instructor within 48 hours.

i-Pathways STUDENT CONTRACTI _______________________________, agree as a i-Pathways student of HVABE, to the following: •I will complete 3- 5 assignments per week as assigned by the instructor.•If I do not complete the number of assignments per week, I will contact my instructor to explain why.•I will establish and follow a consistent schedule for using i-Pathways•I UNDERSTAND THAT IF THERE IS NO CONTACT FOR TWO DAYS, STUDENT ACCESS TO i-Pathways WILL BE BLOCKED. In order to regain access, I must contact the instructor and obtain permission to resume i-Pathways.•I understand that for an assignment to be completed successfully, I must score at least 70%. If I do not complete an assignment successfully, I will redo it and resubmit it, or follow the direction and feedback given by my instructor.•Since this is a new way of getting instruction, I will be sure to keep my instructor informed of any concerns, issues, etc, that I have with using the program.•I will check my email at least every other day.•I will schedule and attend meetings with my instructor to discuss progress, questions, next steps, additional resources, etc.Signature________________ Date______________________
