This orientation consists of three modules.

Module 1: Blended Overview

Gain familiarity with the online system that will be used in all MNPS high schools to deliver blended instruction, Blackboard Learn®.

Develop a common foundational understanding of Blended Learning models.

Provide an opportunity to reflect and respond in an online discussion board.

Consider the responsibilities, skills, and strengths possessed by successful online students.

Share personal reflections through an interactive online discussion board.

Independently explore additional online resources.

Module 2: Attributes of Successful Online Students

Explore the features and functionality of an active course in Blackboard Learn® from the student’s and teacher’s perspective.

Become familiar with the steps for building content, discussions, and assessments in the Blackboard Learn® system.

Explore the issue of Copyright Law in online courses.

Module 3: Building for Success

Be sure to…Follow the road signs and click through every item in each module so that you come out of this orientation understanding what a teacher’s capabilities are in blended learning and what a student’s capabilities are in the live, blended course.
