Email for Thunderbird

A setup guide for Jezweb clients using IMAP settings to send and receive emails on Thunderbird.

Open Thunderbird

In Thunderbird, goto Tools, select Account Settings

Add Mail Account

Press Add Accounts and select Add Mail

Account

Account Details

Type in your name, email address and

password then click Continue

Looking up configuration

Thunderbird will test possible settings to see what will work.

Configuration Confirmation

The settings should look something like this with the servers

for example:imap.domain.comsmtp.domain.com

and IMAP selected.

Click Done to continue

Encryption Exception

When the warning about encryption

displays tick the box and click Done

Confirm Exception

Tick the box to Permanently store this exception and

click Confirm Security Exception

Local Folders Settings

Click OK

Local Folders Settings

Your new account will appear on the left

column in the inbox
