Benefits of BPM

Exploit potentials with BPM

• Goal-oriented management of performance indicators

• Less effort for offer preparation and resource planning

• Using unexploited potential for performance improvement

Higher Economic Efficiency

• Unbundling of complexity through reduction and optimisation of the interfaces

• Slimmer and more reasonable processes

• Avoidance of redundancy

Higher Productivity

• Less costs of errors

• More favourable and quicker service offer

• Improved communication channels to customers, suppliers, partners and the public

Higher Customer Satisfaction and Quality

• Simplification and Transparency of procedures

• Availability of a general overview of the corporate workflows for all stakeholders

• Quick and flexible reaction on changing requirements/competitive situations

Adaptation of the business process

„Check for connected clients“ (I)

It has been realised, that it is hard to decide, whether a group of connected clients exist. Therefore

the activity beforehand has to be detailed.

Exercise 2

Adaptation of the business process

„Check for connected clients“ (III)

The existing activity has to be detailed as follows:

Add as a first task «Consultation of the current guideline». Define as Input to the document

https://eba.europa.eu/documents/10180/37070/Guidelines-on-Large-exposures_connected-clients-and-

schemes.pdf

As a next task «Do connected clients check» needs to be done. in order to perform an in-depth analysis of the

case. Link also the application named «ConnClients-Check».

After that, the «Check if group of connected clients exists» must still be done & a proposal has to be given how

to proceed

Then, in addition it must be approved by the Head of Private Customer Account Managers. This should be

added as task «Perform approval» visible in a separate lane

Then it goes on with the decision «Group of connected Clients existing?»

Each activity must have a short description, the according roles, system, documents and roles

assigned

New objects can be created, reuse existing objects:

Re-use the application Partnersystem (PAS)

Re-use existing roles as Private Customer account manager performs

The risk 07.04.04.02 Exceeding client exposure limits has also to be re-used

„Taking BPMN one step further“: we extend the BPMN metamodel by adding concepts and

attributes for mapping business scenarios.

Support of all elements and attributes of the BPMN 2.0 specification

„Making BPMN fit for business“: Support of technical evaluations/reporting, e. g. for risk/control reports in ICS scenarios or

functional analyses in organisational scenarios!

PMLC - Procedure Model

The Process Management Lifecycle (PMLC)

Conditions and corporate goals are subject to constant change:

Need to continuously review and adjust the processes of a business

For this, a cyclic procedure model is suitable, such

as the Process Management Lifecycle.

The Process Management Lifecycle

Allows a …

… continuous improvement of processes

throughout the company

… extension of Best Practice Approaches

Definition: Process Map / Process Landscape

A process map views the business processes "from a bird's eye view" - i.e. it abstracts over the

course of individual processes

Processes or groups of processes are represented by graphical elements

The process map can comprise several levels; in a not too large research area it may be sufficient to

display the process map on one level.

In the case of higher complexity, several levels are usually required.

he structure of the process map determines the thinking about processes in the organization!

Processes

... are processes that serve the strategic

orientation of the organization or form the

organizational framework

...are processes that serve to increase the value of

products or services (direct value creation)

...are processes to support other processes

(internal customers) in order to guarantee a smooth

service provision

Process Analysis & Optimisation

How can I perform a qualitative analysis and compare them with each other?

✓ Evaluate your processes based on specific

criteria and compare them to each other

© BOC Group | boc@boc-group.com 25

Process Analysis & Optimisation

How can I compare different process variants?

✓ Various process designs and regional differences

represented via Process Variants

✓ Compare models and find differences at a glance

In order to anchor process management, a cyclical

process model is required.

To make processes executable, you need a project-

based implementation.

The technical implementation and execution can take

place using workflow technology.
