A Mummy sheep is called a ewe.

This is a sheep that eats grass and gives us wool.

Farmers shear their sheep for their wool. People who shear sheep are called shearers.

Wool is used to make jerseys.

Strong wool is used to make carpet.

Cows have 4 stomachs.

Stomach 1

Cows swallow the grass without chewing it.

Stomach 2

In the second stomach the grass is made into small balls called cud. When the cow has enough cud she spews it back up to her mouth and chews it for 1 minute.

Stomach 3

This stomach looks like a book with 100 pages. The chewed cud is squashed between the pages.

Stomach 4

The squashed cud gets changed into a liquid. Some of the liquid goes into the cows udder where it is made into milk. The rest comes out when the cow goes toilet.

The cow is eating grass to make milk.

The cows are walking to the milking shed.

The cows are getting milked.

The tanker takes the milk to the factory.

The tanker takes the milk to the factory where it is tested and put into bottles.
