1. Meeting the artwork

• At the start of the project pupils met their artwork first time and considered and wrote down: -What is it about-What do you see, feel, hear etc.. - What is important in the painting

Get to know an artwork can be fun!

2. Searching information about the artist

• Secondly pupils found out who has painted the artwork and what kind has his/her life been and why is the artist famous finnish painter.

3. Making own photo based on the original artwork

• Pupils planned what kind of photo they want to illustrate.

• They had to design where to take a photo, what to include in it etc…

• They were allowed to use creativity as much as they want, but the original artwork must be recognizable.

4. Making a poster

• Finally pupils started to make their own poster including all the information they had found out.

• Poster also includes both the original artwork and pupils own photo.

• Posters were presented.
