Please take out a piece of paper

Yes, you will be turning this in
You will need $1.00 on Thursday. We are ordering our pajama pants patterns.
How to Pivot (sew a corner)
Sew to the corner
Leave your presser foot down
Put the needle down
Turn the hand wheel TOWARDS you so that the needle is in the fabric (paper)
Lift the presser foot
Use the presser foot lifter to lift up the presser foot
Turn
Turn your fabric (paper)
Lower Presser Foot
Use the presser foot lever and lower the presser foot
Is your needle still down?
YES! You shouldn’t have moved it once you
lowered it into your fabric.
Continue sewing
You do not move the needle up again once it is down to pivot.
Just continue sewing after you have turned the fabric and lowered the presser foot.
What will happen if you don’t follow those steps?
You could break the needle Twist your threads Accidentally sew folds into your fabric
Another thing…
The only time you start sewing with your needle down is on a corner
ALWAYS
Start sewing with your needle up!
