Purbeck Film Festival is the longest running rural film festival in the UK, now in its 18th year. Each year the Festival offers around 70 screenings in the last two weeks of October in venues throughout Purbeck, at Poole Lighthouse, the Rex in Wareham, local village halls and unusual venues all over the place and – new from this year – at Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth.
This year’s theme is Italian cinema and we have therefore programmed four Italian classics for you to enjoy.

JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK“The first 18 certificate I ‘snuck’ into, and it gets funnier and funnier everytime I watch it with the ridiculous humour.”
JURASSIC PARK“One of my favourite films as a child, well worth the hour of trailers I had to sit through on the VHS copy I still own.”
ROMEO AND JULIET“I love Baz Luhrmann’s version of this Shakespeare play. The exciting cinematography and dramatic modernisation is brilliant!”
