Purbeck Film Festival is the longest running rural film festival in the UK, now in its 18th year. Each year the Festival offers around 70 screenings in the last two weeks of October in venues throughout Purbeck, at Poole Lighthouse, the Rex in Wareham, local village halls and unusual venues all over the place and – new from this year – at Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth.

This year’s theme is Italian cinema and we have therefore programmed four Italian classics for you to enjoy.

ROMEO AND JULIET“I love Baz Luhrmann’s version of this Shakespeare play. The exciting cinematography and dramatic modernisation is brilliant!”
