Mr. Bellante was born in Rail-way. He was a student at RosellePark High School and was a mem-ber of the high school's junior var-sity wrestling team.

Surviving are his parents, PaulaLinda and Michael Bellante Sr.;five brothers, Michael Jr., Bryan,Austin, Eric and Justin; his paternalgrandparents, Anthony and AliceBellante, and his maternal grand-mother, Paula Gonzales.

Bowden, 84, ofFlorham Park,formerly ofRoselle Park,

died Jan. 21 at home.Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Bowden

lived in Roselle Park for most of hislife before moving to Florham Parkmore than two years ago. Heworked as a welder for many yearswith Esso/Exxon Corp. at the Bay-way Refinery in Linden. Mr. Bow-den served in the Army duringWorld War II with the 5th RangerInfantry Division. He was the 1940Soap Box Derby champion in Lin-den and the ABC Bowling champin 1959 and 1960. Mr. Bowden alsowas active in Roselle Park politics.

Surviving are two sons, ThomasE. and Robert; a daughter, ClaireJohnson; a brother, Wallace, andthree grandchildren.

Linda BryantLinda Bryant, 61, of Linden

died Jan. 18 in Elizabeth.Miss Bryant was a customer

service representative at the SocialSecurity Administration in Unionand a member of the Love ForceMinistry at First Baptist Church ofLincoln Gardens, Somerset.

Surviving are two brothers,Edward and Fred Bryant, and a sis-ter, Yvonne Bryant.

James DambachJames E. Dambach, 49, of Cran-

ford died on Jan. 17.Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Dambach

lived in Linden before moving toCranford more than 10 years ago.He was employed as an electrician.

Surviving are his mother, Vir-ginia Kuhn, and two sisters, KarenO'Brien and Susan Costanza.

Agnes D'AndreaAgnes C. D'Andrea, 91, of

Springfield died Jan. 19 at home.Mrs. D'Andrea had starred in

"The Mikado" in 1938. Each week,she would travel to Newark to singon the program, "Radio Stars ofTomorrow." Mrs. D'Andrea was amember of St. James the ApostleChurch, Springfield, for more than60 years. She was a member of theLadies Auxiliary, the Rosary Altai-Society and Senior Citizens Groupand volunteered with prayer line,clerical work and any assistance thepriests needed. Mrs. D'Andreaworked for 16 years in collectionfor Kemper Insurance Co. She alsovolunteered for hospice for manyyears.

Surviving are four daughters,Marie Anglim, Christine Gardella,Patricia Yotcoski and Angela Grip;a son, Daniel; 15 grandchildren and10 great-grandchildren.

Concetta DorioConcetta "Connie" Dorio, 86, of

Mountainside died Jan. 16 in Mor-ristown Memorial Hospital.

Bom in Newark, Mrs. Doriomoved to Mountainside in 1952.She worked as a secretary at Car-penter Steel Technology, Union.Mrs. Dorio was active in Our Ladyof Lourdes Church, Mountainside,and various groups there includingthe Circle of Compassion. She wasa member of the Rosary Altar Soci-ety.

Surviving are a son, John P.; twodaughters, Cynthia West and Debo-rah G. McMahon; a sister, CarolSparaino, and three grandchildren.

Anne DuffyAnne M. Helfrich Duffy, 95, of

Colts Neck, formerly of Linden,died Jan. 17 at home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Mrs.Duffy moved to Elizabeth in 1942,to Linden in 1956 and then to ColtsNeck in 2006. She was a memberof St. Elizabeth's Church, Linden,and served as parish secretary for ayear. Mrs. Duffy also was a mem-ber of the Liturgy committee, sec-retary of the Rosary Altar Society,taught and was vice principal ofCCD and worked in the schoollibrary. She served on the parishcouncil, was president of the 50-Plus Club for four years and thechurch prayer group and was care-taker of the Book of Prayer.

Mrs. Duffy was a facilitator forRCIA and a member of the BlockRosary and church choir, "Encoiin-terites with Christ," and the LindenInter/faith Council. She was a mem-ber of the Benediction Oblate, St.Mary's Abbey prayer group andwrote letters of condolence to fam-ilies of deceased parishioners untilher death. Mrs. Duffy possessed sixcertificates from the Archdiocese ofNewark for methods courses toteach. She was elected to the Arch-

diocesan Council and served on theLay Apostolate, Education andDeanery committees, where shewas a delegate to 13 parishes. Mrs.Duffy also worked on the Archbish-op's annual appeal for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Kath-leen D. Jankoski; a brother, FrancisJ. Helfrich; three grandchildren andtwo great-grandchildren.

Giuseppina GiordanoGiuseppina Giordano, 64, of

Kenilworth died Jan. 10 in TrinitasRegional Medical Center, Eliza-beth.

Born in Ribera, Italy, Mrs. Gior-dano settled in Elizabeth in 1966and later moved to Kenilworth.

Surviving are her husband,Leonardo; a daughter, AntonellaToto; two brothers, Sebastian andJames Fodera, and three grandchil-dren.

Born in Poland, Mrs. Goldalived in Linden for most of her life.She was a communicant of St.Theresa of the Child Jesus Church,Linden, a member of its RosarySociety and Polish Women'sAlliance.

Mrs. Martin lived in Bayonnebefore moving to Union in 1938.She obtained a master's degree andfirst taught in Union High School.Later, Mrs. Martin served as direc-tor of guidance at a Catholic highschool in Piscataway. Additionally,she served as CCD teacher andgrand regent for the CatholicDaughters of America.

She married A. J. Martin in1949.

Coram, N.Y., formerly of RosellePark, died Jan. 21 in the StonyBrook University Medical Center,Stony Brook, N.Y.

Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.,Mrs. Martinoni lived most of herlife in Roselle Park before movingto Coram seven years ago. She wasa secretary in the Middle School forthe Roselle Park Board of Educa-tion and retired many years ago.Prior to that, Mrs. Martinoniworked for Singer ManufacturingCo., Elizabeth.

Petro MochunPetro "Peter" Mochun, 88, of

Cranford died Jan. 16 in OverlookHospital, Summit.

Born in Ukraine, Mr. Mochuncame to the United States andBrooklyn in 1948 and moved toCranford in 1957.

He was a supervisor for theDepartment of Public Works, Cran-ford, for more than 40 years. Mr.Mochun was a member of theUkrainian National Society.

Surviving are a son, Peter; fourdaughters, Cynthia Mochun, SoniaMochun Best, Rose Breuninger andAnn Vitale; a brother, Myron; sixgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
