Mr. Bellante was born in Rail- way. He was a student at Roselle Park High School and was a mem- ber of the high school's junior var- sity wrestling team. Surviving are his parents, Paula Linda and Michael Bellante Sr.; five brothers, Michael Jr., Bryan, Austin, Eric and Justin; his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Alice Bellante, and his maternal grand- mother, Paula Gonzales. The Mastapeter Funeral Home, Roselle Park, handled the arrange- ments. Thomas Bowden Thomas Bowden, 84, of Florham Park, formerly of Roselle Park, died Jan. 21 at home. Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Bowden lived in Roselle Park for most of his life before moving to Florham Park more than two years ago. He worked as a welder for many years with Esso/Exxon Corp. at the Bay- way Refinery in Linden. Mr. Bow- den served in the Army during World War II with the 5th Ranger Infantry Division. He was the 1940 Soap Box Derby champion in Lin- den and the ABC Bowling champ in 1959 and 1960. Mr. Bowden also was active in Roselle Park politics. Surviving are two sons, Thomas E. and Robert; a daughter, Claire Johnson; a brother, Wallace, and three grandchildren. The Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, Summit, handled the arrangements. Linda Bryant Linda Bryant, 61, of Linden died Jan. 18 in Elizabeth. Miss Bryant was a customer service representative at the Social Security Administration in Union and a member of the Love Force Ministry at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset. Surviving are two brothers, Edward and Fred Bryant, and a sis- ter, Yvonne Bryant. James Dambach James E. Dambach, 49, of Cran- ford died on Jan. 17. Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Dambach lived in Linden before moving to Cranford more than 10 years ago. He was employed as an electrician. Surviving are his mother, Vir- ginia Kuhn, and two sisters, Karen O'Brien and Susan Costanza. The Werson Funeral Home, Lin- den, handled the arrangements. Agnes D'Andrea Agnes C. D'Andrea, 91, of Springfield died Jan. 19 at home. Mrs. D'Andrea had starred in "The Mikado" in 1938. Each week, she would travel to Newark to sing on the program, "Radio Stars of Tomorrow." Mrs. D'Andrea was a member of St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield, for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the Rosary Altai- Society and Senior Citizens Group and volunteered with prayer line, clerical work and any assistance the priests needed. Mrs. D'Andrea worked for 16 years in collection for Kemper Insurance Co. She also volunteered for hospice for many years. Surviving are four daughters, Marie Anglim, Christine Gardella, Patricia Yotcoski and Angela Grip; a son, Daniel; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, Springfield, han- dled the arrangements. Concetta Dorio Concetta "Connie" Dorio, 86, of Mountainside died Jan. 16 in Mor- ristown Memorial Hospital. Bom in Newark, Mrs. Dorio moved to Mountainside in 1952. She worked as a secretary at Car- penter Steel Technology, Union. Mrs. Dorio was active in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside, and various groups there including the Circle of Compassion. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Soci- ety. Surviving are a son, John P.; two daughters, Cynthia West and Debo- rah G. McMahon; a sister, Carol Sparaino, and three grandchildren. The Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, Springfield, han- dled the arrangements. Anne Duffy Anne M. Helfrich Duffy, 95, of Colts Neck, formerly of Linden, died Jan. 17 at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Mrs. Duffy moved to Elizabeth in 1942, to Linden in 1956 and then to Colts Neck in 2006. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Church, Linden, and served as parish secretary for a year. Mrs. Duffy also was a mem- ber of the Liturgy committee, sec- retary of the Rosary Altar Society, taught and was vice principal of CCD and worked in the school library. She served on the parish council, was president of the 50- Plus Club for four years and the church prayer group and was care- taker of the Book of Prayer. Mrs. Duffy was a facilitator for RCIA and a member of the Block Rosary and church choir, "Encoiin- terites with Christ," and the Linden Inter/faith Council. She was a mem- ber of the Benediction Oblate, St. Mary's Abbey prayer group and wrote letters of condolence to fam- ilies of deceased parishioners until her death. Mrs. Duffy possessed six certificates from the Archdiocese of Newark for methods courses to teach. She was elected to the Arch- diocesan Council and served on the Lay Apostolate, Education and Deanery committees, where she was a delegate to 13 parishes. Mrs. Duffy also worked on the Archbish- op's annual appeal for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Kath- leen D. Jankoski; a brother, Francis J. Helfrich; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, Linden, handled the arrangements. Giuseppina Giordano Giuseppina Giordano, 64, of Kenilworth died Jan. 10 in Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Eliza- beth. Born in Ribera, Italy, Mrs. Gior- dano settled in Elizabeth in 1966 and later moved to Kenilworth. Surviving are her husband, Leonardo; a daughter, Antonella Toto; two brothers, Sebastian and James Fodera, and three grandchil- dren. The Corsentino Home for Funerals, Elizabeth, handled the arrangements. Zofia Golda Zofia Golda, 89, of Clark died Jan. 18 in the St. Joseph's Senior Home, Woodbridge. Born in Poland, Mrs. Golda lived in Linden for most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Linden, a member of its Rosary Society and Polish Women's Alliance. Surviving are four sons, Stanley, Stefan, Kaz and John; a daughter, Krystyna Rawrysz; 11 grandchil- dren and two great-grandchildren. Bertha Gorda Bertha Gorda, 91, of Clark died Jan. 19 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Born in Poland, Mrs., Gorda came to the United States at the age of 19 and lived in Elizabeth for many years before moving to Clark 45 years ago. Annette Kaplan Annette Kaplan, 91, of Moun- tainside, formerly of Union, died Jan. 21 in the Hillsborough resi- dence of her son, Howard. Bom in Newark, Mrs. Kaplan lived in Union for 32 years and in Mountainside for the past five years. She was a longtime member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Union. She married A. J. Martin in 1949. Norma Martinoni Norma A. Martinoni, 72, of Coram, N.Y., formerly of Roselle Park, died Jan. 21 in the Stony Brook University Medical Center, Stony Brook, N.Y. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Mrs. Martinoni lived most of her life in Roselle Park before moving to Coram seven years ago. She was a secretary in the Middle School for the Roselle Park Board of Educa- tion and retired many years ago. Prior to that, Mrs. Martinoni worked for Singer Manufacturing Co., Elizabeth. Petro Mochun Petro "Peter" Mochun, 88, of Cranford died Jan. 16 in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Born in Ukraine, Mr. Mochun came to the United States and Brooklyn in 1948 and moved to Cranford in 1957. He was a supervisor for the Department of Public Works, Cran- ford, for more than 40 years. Mr. Mochun was a member of the Ukrainian National Society.
