TO UNDERSTAND THE PERCEPTION AND ATTITUDE OF PHYSICIAN,RETAILERS AND PATIENTS TOWARDS THE USE OF METERED SPRAY SYSTEM FOR NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS OVER CONVENTIONAL

MEDICATION

SECONDRY OBJECTIVES

To find out which feature of metered spray systems physicians and retailers like the most

To find out the prescribing behavior of the physicians for metered spray systems

To gain insight on the attributes which general physicians consider while selecting the medicine and

dosage form for treatment of skin disease

To get insight about the price consciousness of the patients from the physicians and retailers

To find out the discomforts that patients usually faced during the treatment by existing medication

A large group of people are suffering from skin disease

Fungal infection and skin allergy are the most prevalent skin

disease among patients

Most of the patients feel discomfort with existing medications

Patients

PREVALENCE

Spray system are effective and safe

way of drug administration or

applicationThere is lack of

awareness about availability of spray

system for skin diseases

Spray systems are having quick onset of

action and effectiveness

OPINION ABOUT SPRAY SYSTEM

Physicians mainly rely on semi-solid dosage form like cream and ointment for direct

application over skinPhysicians are not able to prescribe spray system to

patients due to there price conscious nature

PHYSICIANS PERCEPTION

RECOMMENDATIONS• Awareness program - campaign should be planned for spreading

awareness because large group of retailers, patients and even physicians are not aware about the spray system availability at market place

• Affordability- physicians are reluctant to prescribe spray systems due to there expensive nature over conventional medications so the price of spray system should be with in the reach of patients.

• Design of container - the product should be available in small volume packages that would be more affordable as well as convenient for patients to purchase

• Labeling- Proper instruction regarding its operation and administration should be clearly mentioned over the container
