APRIL 14, 2019 PALM SUNDAY OF THE PASSION OF THE LORD
Almighty ever-living God, who as an example of humility for the
human race to follow caused our Savior to take flesh and submit to the Cross, graciously grant that we
may heed his lesson of patient suffering and so merit a share in
his Resurrection. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Unplanned is the in-spiring true story of one woman’s journey
of transformation.
All Abby Johnson ever wanted to do was help women. As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices. Her passion surround-ing a woman’s right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, fighting to enact legislation for the cause she so deeply believed in.
Until the day she saw something that changed everything, leading Abby Johnson to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life, and become one of the most ardent pro-life speakers in America.

St. Therese of the Little Flower Church in Rugby will be a host site for the New Evangelization Sum-mit (NES), which will be broadcast across North America on Saturday, May 4. The New Evangelization Summit will originate from Ottawa, Canada, and will bring together speakers who are leaders in the New Evangelization to provide inspi-ration, encouragement, training, practical wisdom and
resources on how Catholics can effectively evangelize. According to organizers, all Catholics—pastors, missionaries, lay ministers, and the lay faithful—will ben-efit immensely from this powerful opportunity to be further equipped in the fun-damental mission of the Church. The web simulcast will be carried live in the performing arts auditorium at Rugby High school from 7:45 a.m. to about 3 p.m. There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be served. Attendees must pre-register for the event by visiting the New Evangelization Summit website at www.newevangelization.ca There is a drop down with host locations, and the Rugby location is listed.
The local Knights of Columbus will conclude the NES with an outdoor living rosary, weather permitting.
Found: Set of keys with fob, for a Chevrolet vehicle. They are on the table in the main entrance of the church.

“I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me.” (Luke 22:34)
How many times have you heard someone make a disparaging com-ment about Jesus or our Catholic faith? How did you react? Do you remain quiet not to cause a disturbance? Or, do you remain quiet because you believe people will think negatively about you? Pray for the courage to speak up and enter into a respectful dialogue when the opportunity arises.
Church pews available. The pews that were once in the front of the church and removed to create space for a handicapped area and baptismal area. Contact Fr. Miller at the parish office 324-2144 or in person.
We encourage our parishioners to patronize our bulletin sponsors. It is through their generosity that our weekly bulle-tin comes to you at no publishing cost.

You may bring a snack and beverage. Invite your family & friends - this is a Do Not Miss movie!
The Sign of the Cross The Sign of the Cross is a sacramental if we make it with the right hand by touching the forehead showing our belief in the Cross, the breast showing our love of the Cross, and the shoulders showing our readiness to bear the Cross.
Sometimes a triple Cross is made with the thumb for example at the reading of the Gospel. It is made on the forehead, on the lips, and on the heart to ask God to en-lighten our mind, be on our lips and in our heart.

How’s the 40-Day Challenge going?! Almost 90 garbage bags were handed out by our CYO at the beginning of Lent for parishioners to fill with clothing—one item per each day of Lent. Items can be new or gently used, but please be sure they are clean and have no rips or holes. You can do the challenge as an individual or as a family unit. After Easter, you can return your filled bags to St. Cecilia, and the CYO will begin the process of sorting and determining where to make contributions.
We ask that you please DO NOT RETURN the bags until after Easter!
The CYO wishes to thank all those who participated in the Ash Wednesday soup and sandwich supper. After expenses, we were able to deposit in our activi-ty account almost $500!
To parents of students in grades 9-12 (and also 8th grade): there are several opportunities this summer and fall for teenagers to attend Catholic youth rallies or conferences that will help them grow in their faith and relationship with the Holy Trinity. These include Cor Christi Institute, Steubenville and the National Catholic Youth Conference. If you would like more information, contact Donna English.
On Wednesday, April 17, our CYO youth, along with other youth groups from the community, will be attending a presentation in Minot given by Elizabeth Smart. Smart was abducted when she was 14 and held captive for eight months before escaping. Now grown, she talks about the experience and how to move through and forward tragedies. The event is free, but we have se-cured 50 tickets, since seating will be limited. If parents or any other adults are interested in chaperoning, contact Donna English or Marcia Schneider. We plan to take a school bus to make this an opportunity for youth and adults to interact and to keep the large group together at the venue.
