ALIQUIPPA — Aliquippapolice killed an animalresembling a coyote thisweek that had been report-ed roaming the area ofBaker Street.
Police Chief Ralph Pal-lante was unsure whetherthe animal killed in woodsoff Baker Street Tuesdaywas the coyote that attackedone of his officers last week-end during a traffic stopalong Route 51 near theAliquippa-Hopewell Town-ship line.
The coyote charged Sgt.Douglas Edgell around 9:30p.m. as he was talking with adriver he had pulled overfor speeding. Another offi-cer shot the animal, and itran into the woods. Policecould not find it afterward.
Pallante said the animalkilled Tuesday, weighing 30to 40 pounds, had a reddishtint and could have been acoyote, a dog or a coydog —a coyote-dog mix.

FINDLAY TWP. — Three air-lines are planning addition-al daily flights from Pitts-burgh International Airportto cities on the easternseaboard, the AlleghenyCounty Airport Authorityreported Thursday.
Starting Wednesday, USAirways will add a flight toLaGuardia Airport in NewYork City. The airline alsoadded one flight toLaGuardia last month,according to airport spokes-woman JoAnn Jenny.
She said Southwest Air-lines has added one flight toPhiladelphia.
American Eagle Airlineswill have an additionalflight traveling from Pitts-burgh to Miami beginningNov. 18.
