In 1945 was created the factory of Swiss chesse Göggel y Banzinger in Sopó after named Alpina.
In 1950 it was purchased the first industrial plant.
In 1985 It was adquired the all the shares of the Chamboursy and Passicol Companys.
In 1995 it starts the market with Venezuela, Ecuador and the United States.
In 2002 it was adquired all the shares of the Friesland Company
Begins construction of the first production plant of Alpina Foods in upstate New York.

In 1964 was created the Coolechera cooperative after named Colanta in the Donmatias town
In 2002 they open three more pasteurizer plants.
In 1974 it was purchased the first pasteurizer plant.
In 1979 was built the concentrates and mineralized sales plant.
In the 80’s they began to establish warehouses in diferent sectors, today are more of 44 around Colombia.
In 1998 it was began to export to multiple countries in South America.In 1998 they began to sell meal products
