Seine Gateway ® is setting dynamics across the Seine Valley of an area of high level of services, of a logistics/transport system efficient for ports, of an industry changing and of a large area of consumer.

Based on the added value due to the flow, Seine Gateway ® will develop economic activities. This is the implementation of a high value logistic eco-system which will develop synergies between logistics, industry, distribution, trade and other tertiary activities.

Atthecontinentalscale,the project Seine Gateway ® is part of the western Europe system. It will strengthen the maritime access to Paris, while promoting synergies with all territories of the Seine Valley and the regions that are connected whether French,Europeanorlocatedonothercontinents.

WEASTFlowsaimistodevelopasustainablenetworkforlogisticandfreighttransportationinNorthWestEurope.It’s an opportunity to link the SeineGateway®totheEuropeanfreightnetworkand to develop the Norman ports and

HAROPA (holding of Ports of Paris, Port ofLe Havre and Port of Rouen), especiallythe connection from their hinterland toGermanyandCentralandEastEurope.WEASTFlows is the first step in theconstructionof an EuropeanGateway that

will strenghten the European economy inthe faceofnewmarketsandglobalisation.Seine Gateway® will be the symbol of the power of the french economy and will be a major part of the European network under construction.

TheoptimizedoperationoftheSeineGateway®alsodependsonarailfreightserviceeffectiveintermsofcapacity,productivityandreliabilitySeine Gateway ® is also based on the required reliability of the supply chain on which the overall «LNPN» is essential.

By linkingLeHavre,RouenandCaen toParis,andespeciallybyreleasingthecurrentlineforthebenefitof freighttrainpaths, the«LNPN»develops closer and fluid relationship, bycreatingqualityandeconomicattractiveness.The«LNPN»isessentialfortheconsolidationofthehinterlandofNormandyports.

Faced with problems of congestion of European ports (Benelux), the «LNPN» contributes to a networking of European freight hubs and passengers and will address the need to efficiently connect the Seine Valley and the port of Le Havre to the major transport networks and to the world.

The construction of the geostrategic position of the Seine Gateway ® is based both on the

location of the axis Le Havre - Rouen - Paris and Normandy coast connected with all the coastal ports from Cherbourg to Dieppe.
