UPTOWN LADY ARABELLA set the pace along the rail, drewclear and held clear under a drive. RB LARA raced off the pacefour wide, made progress around the turn and finished well togain the place. You can complete the 100-miles in as many smaller excursionsas you choose to finish the goal. It is absolutely NOTrecommended to ride the 100-miles all at once, unless you areparticipating at an actual sanctioned event with veterinarycontrols. 1. Hyla Du Loup (No Risk Al Maury x Paida Du Loup(Dormane) the winner saddled by Julien Auge for ThomasFourcy and owner, Sh. Saad Al Mukhani Bahwan.

2. Jalela (Mister Ginoux x Nefertaire under Mlle L Foulard for TFourcy and Al Shaqab Racing. 3. Hajadie Du Croate (AF Albahar x Topaze Du Croate) underJerome Cabre for T. Fourcy and owner Nasser Saeed M Al-Eida. Sante Al Maury took the lead for the race with Hafsa De Monlaufollwng for the ride. Sante Al Maury had widened her lead andthe others only caught up around the turn when Jalela camefrom the inside and Hyla Du Loup attacked from the outside,dueling until Hyla Du Loup pulled ahead in the final strides.Sante Al Maury finished fourth. This is the second race/secondwin for the 3-yr old in 2020. Win time: 2:7:36

What Might Happen - The Road to the ARC (4 October)

EnableThe Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe is only three months away,and the main competitors are emerging. On Sunday at Sandown, thegreat mare Enable, winner of theQatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphein 2017 and 2018, and second in2019, made her seasonal bow inthe Eclipse Stakes (Group 1).The filly ceded victory toGhaiyyath at the peak of hisform and fitness. They will bothhead to the ParisLongchamp onthe 4th October. Ghaiyyathfinished 10th in the 2019running of that race.

On Saturday, 4 July, the best 3-year-old colts and fillies in GreatBritain and Ireland lined up at Epsom for the two BritishClassics. Love was sensational when winning the Oaks by 9lengths. This is the race in which Enable exploded onto thescene in 2017, and Love ran even faster than she did! TheCoolmore filly is now favourite for the Parisan target. Serpentinewas the winner of the colt's equivalent for the sameconnections. Trainer Aidan O'Brien, hinted that the Qatar Prix del'Arc de Triomphe has not been ruled out as a target. Stradivarius The great English stayer Stradivarius, winner of his third GoldCup at Royal Ascot on the 18th June, is also eagerly awaited atParisLongchamp on the 4th October. His owner, Bjorn Nielsen,

commented: "The last two years, we ran in the Yorkshire Cup,Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup and the Lonsdale Cup, three weekslater. That won't be the case this year. The plan is to go to theGoodwood Cup and then give him a break. Then he will run in aprep race for the Arc de Triomphe, maybe the Foy. If that doesn'twork out, Champions Day at Ascot [the Long Distance Cup,Gr2], or a race such as the Prix du Cadran. »

Fancy Blue and MishriffWinner of the Prix de Diane Longines, the 3-year-old filly FancyBlue passed her stamina test perfectly. And Donnacha O'Brien,her young trainer, evoked the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe asa possible target where 3-year-old fillies have a history of doingwell (4 wins in the last 15 editions). John Gosden also left openthe possibility of running Mishriff in this race, the winner of thePrix du Jockey Club.
