Content Standard:
2.2 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to
demonstrate understanding of a variety of linear and non-linear texts
in the form of print and non-print materials using a range of strategies
to construct meaning.
Learning Standard:2.2.4. Able to read and understand a paragraph with simple and
compound sentences.
Objectives:
By the end of lesson, pupils will be able to:
1) in group, read aloud the text in front of the class with clarity and
fluidity in speech.
2) individually, given a worksheet, answer at least 3 out of 5
questions correctly.
Time: 60 minutes
Teaching Aids:Power Point presentation, worksheet, reading text, picture cards,
regalia, window word, mah-jong paper.
