Yalda has strong analytical skills and is experienced in interpreting and structuring the data collected from involving citizens into planning strategies and transforming them into actual design ideas. Yalda has a broad experience with bottom- up planning, empowerment, and social sustainability and employs her skills and expertise to ensure that end-users’ ideas and aspirations gets through in the design process. At arki_lab, Yalda is involved in concept development and planning, as well as preparing reports, strategies and design based on citizen involvement ideas. She is also responsible for developing our engagement tools such as arki_nopoly and arkicity. MELBOURNE INNOVATION DISTRICT VISIONING STUDY | Melbourne, AU In collaboration with state organizations, arki_lab ran a series of engagement workshop and prepared an extensive report for the future development of Melbourne Innovation District. 2018 THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING PRECINCT| University of Wollongong, AU In collaboration with SJB Architects arki_lab developed the site on principles of inclusivity, connectivity and user-centered design. PILOT PROJECT FOR NEW TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS | Melbourne, AU In collaboration with Transport for Victora, arki_lab delivered a strategy for transport-related pilot projects in the City of Melbourne. SMART LIVERPOOL, SMART PEDESTRIANS | Liverpool, AU The project, winner of the 2018 local government initiative award, focuses on improving the livability and walkability in the city of Liverpool. HORSENS HIGH STREET | Horsens, DK In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team arki_ lab won a competition to redesign Horsens Street. 2017 WASTE INNOVATION | Copenhagen, DK In close collaboration with residents arki_lab developed a prototype of a multi-functional waste separation solution. 2016 A LIVELY OUTDOOR CLASSROOM | Copenhagen, DK In collaboration with Nørrebro Area Renewal and BUF arki_lab conducted a series of workshops with three local schools in Nørrebro to generate ideas about outdoor education and classrooms.
