SARA’S STORYFor a long time, Sara* lived a lonely life. She sat in front of the television for most of the day, and had very little contact with family or friends. Her physical and mental health suffered.

Since receiving services from Y Ability, Sara’s life has been transformed. She now enjoys going out for lunch and shopping, and has reconnected with her church and attends regular services.

Her physical health has improved, with regular visits to the doctor and improved access to medications. Hydrotherapy appointments also help Sara manage her disability.

Sara has also reconnected with her family, and is now a proud grandmother.

Sara says “My support workers are wonderful and help me to achieve my goals, no matter how big or small they are. They really care about me.“
