The Deputies of Harris County would appreciate any stuffed animals that are gently used or new. These are used for calls that involve children that need comfort. If you have any that can be used for this purpose, please drop them off to Marie Trascher, 11134 Hillside Glen Trail.

The summer swim season has started and the pool is now open. We had our Annual Pool Opening Party on Saturday (5/2), had great weather and a great turnout. A- Beautiful (pool management company) coordinated games for the kids who had a great time. This event is sponsored by the Wortham Villages Board of Directors and planned/staffed by the members of our Recreational Facilities Committee and some great volunteers. I want to thank Bea Robertson for getting all the door prizes together and to the neighborhood area vendors who donated prizes, Rachel Gerhardt, Cyndi Anderson, Sheldon Barr, Bob and Michelle Pazitney, Cissy and Darrell Heafner and the others who just stepped up to help.

The Wortham Villages Board/recreational Facilities Committee Members will be handed out pool tags on 4/25, 4/26 and 4/28. If you are not able to pick up tags at these times, you will need to contact Crest Management and they will provide the tags for a small fee. Only those homeowners in good standing (annual fees paid) will be able to receive tags.

The Recreational Facilities Committee role in the community is to identify any repairs/upgrades needed for our facilities. Some of the work done by this committee in the past has been the renovations to the pool area and the clubhouse, new playground equipment at the pool area, gazebo install and tennis courts and retention pond playground and fields equipment repairs/replacement. We also are always looking for new ways to improve our facilities. This committee is also responsible for the Pool Opening Party and assist with pool tag handout.
