(discipline) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; (hope) You anoint my head with oil: (favor) My cup runs over. (life more abundantly) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; (Blessings) And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. We have new reading categories and new books just for the reading club. Each grade level will be competing against the others to see which can build the yummiest-looking pizza on the media center bulletin board. In addition, there are prizes for books read and a $5 Lifeway gift certificate for each child who reads a minimum of 14 books. •First Place 4 Health 6-Week Summer Session - Tuesdays, July 9 - August 20 at 5:30 p.m. - Many people think of Summer as a time for swimsuits, fresh salads and outdoor activities, but it can also be a season of temptation, with hot and lazy afternoons and enticing vacation cuisine! Healthy Summer Living is a daily devotional that will inspire readers to eat right and stay active during the break between the spring and fall sessions of First Place 4 Health. The cost is $15 for the book. For more information or to sign up, contact Beth Maloch at 850-7111 or Betsy Russell at 301-2805. •Church-wide Ice Cream Fellowship - Sunday, July 21, following the evening service of the Children’s VBS Musical, we will meet in the Fellowship Suite for a great time of ice cream tasting. We want people to make their favorite flavor of Home-Made Ice Cream and bring it to the church for the fellowship. If you can't make it, then bring your favorite flavor of premium ice cream.
