NOTES:CHRIST IS THE VISIBLE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD. – COLOSSIANS 1:15

WELCOME TO CROSSINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to join us in worship today. Over the next hour, we will sing a few songs, join together in prayer, and hear a message that speaks to how truth and faith intersect with our lives today. In a world that pulls us in so many directions, this time of worship helps us remember what is most important as we turn our hearts and minds toward God.

We’d love to know you’re here today, so take a moment to fill out the Connection Card found in this worship guide, which includes a place where you can let us know about prayer concerns and/or questions you might have. Place the Connection Card into the offering plate/basket or into a BLUE BOX, found at each exit. Thanks again for gathering with us today at Crossings!

NEW TO CROSSINGS?Stop by Guest Central in the Atrium today after the service. We would love to meet you!

WANT TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR FAITH?Visit Next Step in the Atrium following the service today. We would love to help you find a class, group or personal spiritual growth plan!

1 3 Jesus series, part two // PASTOR MATT ANDERSON [@ANDERSONMATT]

“The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy. I have come that you might have life and have it to the full.” — Jesus (John 10:10)

last weekOne of the ways we can know/understand Jesus, and the life He claims to have brought us, is through three distinct lenses/offices: Prophet, Priest, and King. As Prophet, Jesus declared truth about God, the world, and us—and in doing so, He spoke words that can bring us life (something no other prophet has ever or will ever be able to do).

notes | questions | scripture | doodles | thoughts

Convinced that no human being can please God by self-improvement, we believed in Jesus as the Messiah so that we might be set right before God by trusting in the Messiah, not by trying to be good. – Galatians 2:16 (MSG)

Because Jesus lives forever, His priesthood lasts forever. Therefore He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. – Hebrews 7:24-25

This week: Read two chapters of Hebrews each day.Circle or underline each reference to High Priest that you see. How does each of these give us a fuller understanding of Jesus and His work? As you read and underline, pay attention to anything that bubbles up in the passages. Write down the phrase/verse/word and ask God to help you understand why it is grabbing your attention.
