Blessed is the oneWritten by Mike Westendorf
Based on Psalm 62
Blessed is the one who trusts in the LordAnd whose confidence is in himMy soul finds rest in God aloneSalvation comes through him
Blessed is the one who trusts in the LordAnd whose confidence is in himMy soul finds rest in God aloneSalvation comes through him
Refrain:You Alone are my Salvation
My fortress I will not be shaken
Blessed is the one who walks with the Lord
And whose hope for life is in himThe help and refuge of my soul
Redemption comes through him
Refrain:You Alone are my Salvation
My fortress I will not be shaken
In troubled times you find meWhere does my help come from
The Lord is strong to save meAnd I will rest within his love
Refrain:You Alone are my Salvation
My fortress I will not be shaken
Blessed is the one who trusts in the LordAnd whose confidence is in himThe help and refuge of my soul
Redemption comes through him
In God We Trust
Offering
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
A 21st Century Creed
In an age of anxiety, we believe that peace comes from Jesus
Christ, the Son of God.
In an age of confusion, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God,
inerrant and infallible.
In an age of doubt, we believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary.
In an age of guilt, we believe that Jesus died on the cross to remove the power of sin and Satan from
our lives.
In an age of reason, we believe that God is at work in the
sacraments of Baptism and Communion.
In an age of constant change, we believe in the unchanging Trinity –
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Voice of TruthWritten by Casting Crowns
Oh what I would do to haveThe kind of faith it takes to climb
out of this boat I’m inAnd onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zoneInto the realm of the unknown
where Jesus isAnd he’s holding out his hand
But the waves they’re callin out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling meTime and time again
Boy you’ll never win… you’ll never win
Refrain: But the voice of truth Tells me a different story
The voice of truth says do not be afraid
The voice of truth Says this is for my glory
Out of all the voices calling out to meI will choose to listen and believe
The Voice of Truth
Oh what I would do to haveThe kind of strength it takes to
stand before a giantWith just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armorAs he’s holding out his hand
But the giant’s calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling meTime and time again
Boy you’ll never win… you’ll never win
Refrain: But the voice of truth Tells me a different story
The voice of truth says do not be afraid
The voice of truth Says this is for my glory
Out of all the voices calling out to meyeah
The voice of truth Tells me a different story
The voice of truth says do not be afraid
The voice of truth Says this is for my glory
Out of all the voices calling out to meI will choose to listen and believe

In God We Trust
In God We Trust – Really?
Trust = reliance on the integrity, strength, ability of a person or thing; confidence
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19
God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:20
I am with you always.
Matthew 28:20
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38,39

L: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
C: If we walk in the light as God himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.
L: With steadfast love and wondrous grace, the Lord desires to make us clean.
(Silence for self-examination)
L: Almighty God,
C: You dwell in light unapproachable. Unprotected, we perish in your presence. For our hearts are darkened, our minds clouded; we call for night to cover our actions; we have often loved darkness rather than the light.
L: Jesus Christ is the light of the world, the light no darkness can overcome.
C: Therefore, we look only to Jesus for the forgiveness we so desperately need.
L: As a Christ follower, God hears your prayer. “I choose to make you clean,” the Savior says.
C: We have seen Jesus’ glory and his victory in the empty tomb. Our sin debt has been paid in full. We are free to rejoice!
And in my final breathAnd in my final breathI hope that I can sayI hope that I can say

Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
