Day 3 - Monday Andean Handicrafts and Markets (B/L) An early start will take you due north on a beautiful scenic drive to the province of Imbabura, a magic land of lakes and mountains of outstanding beauty. The day opens the possibility to learn about the customs of the people living in the area, learn about the relationship between the concept of the Middle of the World and all the archaeological sites found in the area. The Northern Highlands are the home of the Otavalo Community, the Otavalos are known around the world for their weaving patterns and textiles which pre-date the Spanish conquest. The market is world known for its colorful textiles, woven on back-strap and shuttle looms, its piles of ponchos and hand- made textiles, hats, Indian jewelry and creative handicrafts. This is a unique occasion to wonder through this maze of color and enjoy some fun bargaining and buying great quality handicrafts at superb prices. Close by is the town of Peguche where some of the Otavalo Indians live and opens the possibility to see the typical houses of the area. Lunch will be offered at one of the many charming Hosterias or Country Inns of the area. Overnight in Quito. Day 4 - Tuesday The Antisana – Valley of Patate (B/L) The Antisana volcano is the fourth highest mountain in the Ecuadorian Andes. Massive glaciers feed water to lakes and rivers of the reserve, which sustain the abundant wildlife of the region. Fifty percent of the Andean Condors that live in Ecuador have chosen Antisana as their home, as well as many other spices of highland birds. The route south of Quito goes through what it has been called the Avenue of the Volcanoes up to Patate. Overnight in Patate Day 5 - Wednesday The Fortress of Ingapirca - Cuenca (B/L) Located approximately two hours away from the city of Cuenca; The Ingapirca Fortress is without any doubt the most important archeological vestige left by the Inca Civilization in Ecuador. Despite the great number of studies made in the area, is a mystery until today the final use of this architectonic complex. Its different spaces make us doubt if it was a fortress, a center of astronomic observation or a temple devoted to the sun and the moon. Inside the complex, we will find a clear evidence of the greatness sumptuousness of the Cañari and Inca Cultures; the different didactic areas that we found in this onsite museum represent clearly a rich cultural interchange, plus an evident prove of the expertise hands of this pre Hispanic communities in the ceramic, sculpture and metallurgy industries. Quito Colonial & the The Intiñan Museum (B) In the morning a short trip to the north of the city of Quito will lead us to our planet's Latitude

0´0´0´´where the Intiñan museum known too as “The trek of Sun” will guide us through the wonderful

world of the Andean Cosmo-vision, culture and traditions. After this visit, enjoy of a wonderful tour through the streets and main squares of Quito Historical Center. A visit to the Church and Convent of

Santo Domingo is part of this spectacular visit. Overnight in Quito.

Day 3 - Monday

Andean Handicrafts and Markets (B/L) An early start will take you due north on a beautiful scenic drive to the province of Imbabura, a magic

Located at the Southern Highlands in a picturesque valley surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery we found the city of Cuenca declared by the UNESCO a World Cultural Heritage in 1989. Cuenca, known

as well as “Santa Ana of the 4 rivers”, was specifically built to satisfy the demands of the Spanish elite

during the conquest period; today this city displays with glamour a French Neoclassic architecture represented in its nicely decorated balconies with colorful geraniums, main squares and colossal churches

that exalt the monumental beauty of this old colonial city. Our excursion is an encounter with traditions, emblematic shields, culture, art and religiousness, is a walking stroll through the city historic center, a

special path that will allow us to admire the magnificence art and cultural diversity of the city exploring

some of the most unusual angels and perspectives. Overnight in Cuenca.

Day 7 - Friday Guayaquil (B)

Day 2 – Wednesday City Tour & Larco Museum (B)

You will be driven to the Main Square, where you can find the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's Palace. Then, continue with a visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, an architectonic jewel

dating back to the 16th century. The tour continues to the modern residential suburb of San Isidro and to downtown Miraflores, where, at the Park of Love, you may enjoy a splendid view of the Pacific Ocean. Finally,

you will be driven to the Larco Museum, world's largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian art that

comprises approximately 45,000 pieces of gold, silver, ceramics, textiles, stone, wood, collected by the Peruvian archaeologist Rafael Larco Herrera. Overnight in Lima. Day 3 - Thursday

Arequipa – City Tour and Visit to Santa Catalina Convent (B)

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, reception by our representatives and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the “White City” including the Santa Catalina

Convent, beautiful citadel from the 16th century, in the style of Spanish cities of that time. The Main Square, with its three portals, the Iglesia de La Compañía de Jesus (Church of the Company of Jesus) which is a

beautiful sample of the Peruvian and Spanish baroque art from the 17th century, along with the multi colorful

paintings of the San Ignacio’s Dome. Then continue with the trip, you will see the typical districts of Cayma and Yanahuara. Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 4 – Friday-Colca Canyon (B/L/D) You will be picked up from your hotel to start the trip through the town of Yura and the National Reserve of

Salinas/Aguada Blanca and Pampa Cañahuas, where you can see many species of birds in their natural habitats, and also South American camels. You will make a stop in Patahuasi to freshen up and enjoy a coca infusion,

and later keep going to the town of Chivay. Depending on the schedule, you may have lunch in town or have a

picnic enjoying the beautiful scenery from one of the natural viewing spots of the zone. In the afternoon, it is highly recommend to visit La Calera and enjoy an invigorating bath in the hot spring waters or just to spend a

delightful afternoon in the hotel. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight in Yanque. Day 5 – Saturday Condor Cross – Transfer to Puno (B/L)

Very early, you will start the trip to “Cruz del Condor” (Condor Cross), which will allow you to enjoy a

spectacular view of one of the deepest canyons in the world, and with luck, have a chance to take pictures of the biggest and most impressive flying bird in the Andes, the majestic Condor. Depending on the schedule, you

could make a stop in the town of Pinchollo, the only pre-Inca town still inhabited, and the Maca town, with its beautiful craft market and colonial church. You will have lunch in Chivay and later you will continue with the trip

to Puno. Overnight in Puno.

Day 6 - Sunday Lake Titicaca – Floating Islands of the Uros and Taquile (B/L)

You will go on to Uros Island, where the community keeps their traditions alive, as well as their costumes and colorful typical dresses. A 3 hour boat trip on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, will take

you to the Island of Taquile. To reach the hub of the island one must make a strenuous climb of 600 stone steps, but the effort is well rewarded by the views of the Lake and its surrounding mountains. The people of

Taquile are famous for their colorful, fine weavings and their hospitality. Lunch included. Overnight in Puno.

Day 7 - Monday Departure to Cusco – La Raya/ Racchi/ Andahuaylillas (B/L)

You will start our trip by bus to Cusco, stop at Pucara and La Raya, highest point on the road between Puno and Cusco, from where you will get excellent photo opportunities. You can enjoy the wonderful scenery of the

South Valley of Cusco. You will stop at the Racchi ruins, known as “The Temple of God Wiracocha”. Lunch will

be served in a restaurant on route. Then, you will visit Andahuaylillas, a town where a precious church from the 17th century boasts an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs. The arrival to Cusco

is in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 8 - Tuesday

City Tour, Sacsayhuaman and Nearby Ruins (B) In the afternoon, you will visit the Imperial City, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish

cultures. The trip stars visiting Koricancha temple, and ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Over this temple, the Santo Domingo Church and convent were built. Then, continue to the Main Square,

where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compañía. Going on with the tour, you will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Finally,

you will take a look at the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, located north east of

the city. Overnight in Cusco. Day 9 - Wednesday

Day 10 - Thursday

Sacred Valley of the Incas: Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo (B/L) This trip drives you towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. After a stop on the

way to enjoy a spectacular view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets, you will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where you may interact with the local craftsmen, or purchase their

hand-made souvenirs. The tour continues to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, you will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In its high part one

rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the

inferior part of the valley. Overnight in Cusco. Day 11 - Friday

Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas” (B/L) Take the train excursion to Machu Picchu, one of the new seven wonders of the world. During the trip you will

enjoy an amazing view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes,

our representatives will assist you to board the bus which will take you to the Incan citadel, where a professional guide will lead you through its amazing architecture and landscape. After the guided tour, you will

have free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. At fixed time, return by train, descend at the appropriate station and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 12- Saturday Return to Lima – International Departure (B)

Day 1 - Wednesday Arrival in Rio de Janeiro (-)

plus luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. Day 2 - Thursday

Full Day Corcovado & Sugar Loaf (B/L) This tour starts in the morning, with the pick up by bus at the hotel. You will pass through some of the finest

touristic spots heading to the Cosme Velho´s district, where the railroad station to the cable car that lifts up to

the Corcovado is located. At the top of the Corcovado´s mountain, at a 710 metres height is placed one of the most famous postcards of Rio de Janeiro, the fourty meters height statue of Christ the Redeemer. This

impressive statue, with its magnificent belvedere, lets you appreciate the amazing sights of the city of Rio de Janeiro, mainly some of the most typical districts, as well the famous beaches. The tour continues to the Urca´s

district and specifically to the Praia Vermelha, where the Sugar Loaf´s cable ferry station is located. From the cable car, enjoy the superb view of the city to get to the Sugar Loaf´s top (at 396 meters). From there, the

beaches and the meeting of Guanabara´s bay and the ocean waters are amazing. Return by bus to the hotel.

Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. Day 3 - Friday

Iguassu: Half Day Brazilian Falls (B) At scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to

your hotel. Departure from hotel and enter the Iguassu National Park, the largest in southern Brazil. Visit the

Park’s Visitors Center with its exhibit on the local eco-system. Then you continue down the Cataratas Highway through the rain forest of the National Park to the falls. The Iguassu Falls are on the border of Brazil and

Argentina where the Iguassu River drops into a gigantic horseshoe canyon. You descend the walkway, contemplating the lovely waterfalls in all of nature’s exuberance, with panoramic view of both the Argentine and

Brazilian sides. The walk ends at the elevator (one does not come back by the same route). Overnight in

Iguassu. Day 4 - Saturday

Half Day Argentinean Falls (B) Transfer to the Tancredo Neves Bridge over the Iguassu River, which separates the border between Argentina

and Brazil. Once in Argentina, you will be steered a scenic road to the Argentine Iguassu Park, where you will visit Porto Canoas, which gives the access to the very brink of the awe-inspiring Devil’s Throat, largest of the

Argentinean Falls. On the way back from the falls a stop at the “Three Borders” Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay

meet. Afternoon at leisure for personal activities. Overnight in Iguassu. Day 5 - Sunday

Salvador (B) At scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Salvador. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to

Day 6 - Monday Half Day City Tour (B)

In the morning,departure from hotels to get to know the streets of the historical center of Salvador, testimony of Brazil´s early History. Starting at Farol da Barra (Barra lighthouse), the tour continues heading to the Teatro

Castro Alves (Castro Alves Theater), Forte São Pedro and Castro Alves Square, all the way to the Pelourinho, the most famous square on the city center. There, one can find more than a thousand houses, churches and

monuments built on the XVI century, which are a unique baroque architectonic inheritance in Latin America.

minerals composed of hills of salt, gypsum and clay, spectacular natural sculptures and various colors the minerals that form. During the tour you can take pictures of these curious formations. Then continue to

the Valley of the Moon, a nature sanctuary, where you can see a geological spectacle of great beauty,

especially at sunset with its strange lunar look. You will cover different sectors, the pillars of salt "Tres Marias", the salt mine, caves and lookouts, finally ending in the large "Central Dune" to watch the sunset.

San Pedro de Atacama, Tocanao & Atacama Saltflat (B) In the afternoon, you will visit the Toconao town, the road goes straight across the plain overlooking the

Licancabur volcano, on the road you can see tree species native to the area as chañar and tamarugo,

after reaching the village of Toconao located at 2,475 meters, an oasis where people grow all kinds of fruit. Short visit to the main square with its church and tower of San Lucas, declared National Monument.

Its houses built of volcanic stone (Liparita), panoramic view of the quarry and Jere Valley. Then delve into the Salar de Atacama, located in the Los Flamencos National Reserve at an altitude of 2,305 mts,

more saline surface 400 km2. It is the largest salt deposit in Chile, formed in a depression without water

outlet, which receives the San Pedro River and numerous creeks through which water seeps in the

highlands. The formation of lagoons such as Chaxa has generated a proliferation of bird species

Early morning departure for an excursion to “El Tatio Geysers”, a geothermal field flanked by soaring Andean peaks. Located at 4321 mts above sea level, the geysers become active it right before dawn,

when the geothermal energy's concentration reaches its peak. It is at this time when columns up to a height of 6mts erupt from the geyser. After crossing the geothermal field you will have breakfast. A short

We will drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. We will stop on the

way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. We will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where we will have free time to interact with the local

craftsmen, or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs. We will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, we will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels

and stone streets. In its high part one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a

fortress that guarded the access to the inferior part of the valley. Overnight in Cusco. Day 5 – Wednesday

Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas” (B/L) You will visit one of the most important energetic centers of the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion will

be by train and during the trip we will have an amazing view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of

Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, our representatives will assist you to board the bus which will take you to the citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will
