Vision � The Winter Universiade 2015 will be organised

in two countries (Slovakia and Spain).

� Strbske Pleso and Osrblie (SVK) will take place “Nordic Skiing event and Biathlon from 24 January to 1 February 2015.

GENERAL INFORMATION Granada (ESP)

GRANADA � Granada is in the south of Spain and is capital of the

province known by the same name, with a population of 265,000 inhabitants and is located at the foot of Sierra Nevada.

� Distances to Granada by road from various Spanish cities: Madrid, 433 km; Cadiz, 454 km; Malaga, 128 km; Seville, 251 km. Granada's airport is 15 km away from the city on the road to Malaga. Sierra Nevada is 30 km and Granada tropical coast is 65 km away from the city.

� Sierra Nevada, the southernmost mountains of Europe, is located in the Penibetic System, south of Spain, and offers the visitor the mountainous Granada, very good skiing conditions and a great variety of ski and snow activities.

provided with modern facilities which can be suitable for the organization of the Ice Hockey competitions

� A temporary ice rink will be built up in a multifunctional sport hall according to the IIHF technical requirements.

Location � The Granada Sport Palace is located in the south part of the city,

alongside at the south motorway, and perfectly connected with the main motorways of Andalusia.

� A temporary ice rink will be built up in a multifunctional sport hall according to the IIHF technical requirements.

alongside at the south motorway, and perfectly connected with the main motorwys of Andalusia, close to the Granada Sport Palace.

Accommodation � Up to 15 hotels disposal � For snowboard, alpine skiing and freestyle skiing, OC will

accommodate the participants of these 3 sports based on delegations concept.

� Figure skating and short, OC will accommodated the participants of these 2 sports based on delegations concept.

� For ice hockey, OC will keep delegation concept of men’s and women’s teams of the same country.

� For curling, curling participants will be accommodated close to the curling venue with walk distance.

� Athletes’ Village (Hotels) will be opened on 30 January and it will be closed on 16 February 2015

� Double Rooms and Free WIFI � Full Board � HoD office rooms will be provided according the FISU Minimum

Requirements.
