Comprehensive Needs Assessment
Comprehensive Needs Assessment Process
SBDM team meets to discuss campus and district goals or concerns. The month of June was a data collection month from attendance to STAAR results. The SBDM team
analyzed the collected data to discuss the upcoming years focus. During the meeting the SBDM team sets goals for the upcoming year by looking at the success and areas of
need from the previous year.
Summary of Prior Year’s Program Evaluation
An evaluation of the District plan from 2018-2019 was performed and the findings were shared with the team. In looking at long term data from the past three
years, many areas in STAAR performance have increased greatly, including subgroups. The district team also looked at all STAAR data and compared it to the
state and regional data. Our demographic data has stayed relatively the same over the past several years. It was stated that the programs and methods that we
have been using are working and we need to continue those as well as addressing the need to increase the Mastery level performance scores.

Communication folders and weekly newsletters are a part of our parental involvement plan. We also have our Parental Involvement Policy posted on our website. Parental involvement has remained steady and we have increased the number of parental activities to include special programs for ESL parents. During Grandparents week we have grandparents eating breakfast with their students. Other activities include: Meet the teacher, two parent conferences throughout the year, PTG programs and meetings for each grade level, and a fall festival in October. Field day, held in May is another opportunity for parent involvement. We host a family engagement night to increase STAAR awareness and to educate parents on strategies to help them help their children at home.
