Why do we need partnerships in TVET?
Prof. Olga Oleynikova, President of IVETA,

Current context - the time of change and uncertainty Hence:
human capital becomes a nation’s major asset and driving force
Thus: new challenges in relation to the role of VET
The implications for VET: workers need to be prepared for employability and not
only for a specific job Thus
a) training becomes a lifelong activity. Recurrent learning needs to be facilitated;
b) the demand for training increases and diversifies, both for initial entry into employment and for retraining the current workforce

AIM of TVET To provide the labor market with the
workers who have relevant skills and competences
To address the needs of learners and ensure that they get dignified jobs, decent salaries and opportunities for self-fulfillment
To promote growth and strengthen the well-being of each and every nation

Can TVET do it on its own? No chance TVET has to partner
with: the government that is
in charge of the nation’s well-being and
with the world of work as the players there are critical for setting the context and content for VET and accommodate VET graduates

objective data that can be achieved only through partnerships

quality and numbers required); efficiency (making the best use of the available
resources); equity (access for all citizens); and sustainability (sustain and improve the systems’
performance and integrate it into the national development plans)
