description

A visual aid to help people conceptualize intersectionality. Intersectionality: How various biological, social, cultural categories, and other axes of identity interact on multiple and often simultaneous levels which contribute to systemic social inequality. Classical conceptualizations of systems of oppressions within society do not act independently of one another, instead these forms of oppression interrelate, creating unique and different macro systems of oppression that reflect the “intersection” of multiple forms of discrimination.
