  • 1.1.1.2 Maintenance Order: Reassigning Materials

This product feature enables you to reassign materials and all their material data from one order operation to another whilst you are editing maintenance orders on the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance. The material requirement date is recalculated.

    Technical Details

    Product feature is New

Country Dependency Valid for all countries

    Application Component PM (Plant Maintenance)

    Availability SAP S/4HANA 1709 FPS01

Required Business Function Simplified Management of EAM Functions 8 (LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY_8)

    Additional Details

You can reassign materials that have been assigned to one order operation to another order operation either in the order operation details or in the material overview. To do this, select one or more materials to be reassigned and choose Reassign. In a dialog box, you can define to which operation you wish to reassign the materials. The system deletes the current material assignment and assigns the materials with all of their material data to the chosen operation. The requirement date is recalculated.

NoteYou can only reassign materials to another operation if no data inconsistencies occur due to the new assignment.

If you want to reassign materials in the appropriate SAP GUI transactions, activate the business function EAM, Copying of Order Operations and Components (LOG_EAM_CI_9_ORD_OPER_COMP).

    Effects on Existing Data

The new Reassign pushbutton is available on the Materials tab page in the details of the Operation Data and on the tab page Material Overview.

1.1.1.3 Maintenance Order: Assigning Operations to Object List Entries

You use the object list to assign technical objects (equipment, functional locations), assemblies, plant maintenance notifications, or objects that are identified by a combination of material and serial number to a maintenance order. With this product feature, you can assign objects that have been entered in the object list to individual order operations or suboperations. You can make this assignment in the object list or also in the operation data when you are editing a maintenance order on the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance. Only one single object can be assigned to each operation or suboperation.

  • Effects on Existing Data

On the tab page Object List there is a new Assigned to Operation, Suboperation table column at your disposal. You can use a dropdown list to assign an operation or suboperation to each individual object in the list.

On the Operation Data tab page there is a new Assign Operations to an Object pushbutton at your disposal. If you select one or more operations and choose this pushbutton, the system displays a popup with all the object list entries. The object that you choose is then assigned to the selected operations.

    Effects on Customizing

The Customizing settings for order types in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Maintenance and Service Processing Maintenance and Service Orders Functions and Settings for Order Types Define Notification and Order Integration are taken into account. 1.1.1.4 Maintenance Order: Changing the Header Notification in the Object List

You use the object list to assign technical objects (equipment, functional locations), assemblies, plant maintenance notifications, or objects that are identified by a combination of material and serial number to a maintenance order. You can create and assign the header notification in the General Order Data. In the object list, the header notification is identified by the checkbox Header Notification. Until now, this could not be changed. You can use this feature to mark, in the object list, a notification that has been assigned to the order as a header notification or change a header notification that already exists. If you choose a header notification in the object list and select the checkbox, this notification is copied as header notification to the header data of the order and the system deletes every assignment that may have previously existed.

New features in SAP S/4HANA 1709 FPS01 release:

SchedulingSAP S/4HANA for advanced compliance reporting allows you to schedule the report generation based on your requirements. You can choose to generate the report immediately, or schedule the report generation for a later point in time. You can also cancel the reports runs that are in-process. The following scheduling options are available in advanced compliance reporting: Immediately (Short Runs): This option allows you to execute your report runs immediately. This option

should ideally be used in scenarios, where you expect the report generation process to be complete in less than the timeout interval, say, for example three minutes. You may get a timeout message, if the report generation takes longer than the timeout interval.

Immediately (Long Runs): This option should be used for relatively complex report generation processes that may require longer execution time. For example, you should choose this option, if a report generation is expected to take longer than the timeout interval.

Schedule Later: Allows you to schedule your report runs for a specific date and time. You can schedule your report runs in different time zones.

Reporting ActivitiesReporting activities are steps that need to be performed to complete the end-to-end compliance reporting process. In the Run Advanced Compliance Reports app, you can view and process the activities that are relevant for your compliance reporting scenario.Reporting activities can be of type report generation and non-report generation. When you process activities of type report generation, you can generate the legal documents, and submit them to the government. For non-report generation activities, you can navigate to the configured Fiori applications, or ABAP programs. You can track the progress of activities in the application home screen. In the activities screen, you can: You can manually set the status of activities to in-process or completed. You can skip an activity execution. You can enter comments for individual activities.

Note that, you can see the activities screen only if your reporting task contains both report generation, and non-report generation activities.

    Application Component FI-LOC-SRF-DEF

    Availability SAP S/4HANA 1709 FPS01

    Additional Details

Following features were added in the 1709 OP FPS01 release:

Reporting ActivitiesIn the Define Advanced Compliance Reports app, you can create new reporting activities using the Reporting Activities tab. Reporting activities are steps that need to be performed to complete end-to-end compliance reporting process. Reporting activities are reusable entities that can be assigned to multiple report categories. Reporting activities can be of type - Report Definition, SAP Fiori Application, or ABAP programs. To add a reporting activity of type Fiori Application, you need to provide the Semantic Object and Action for the app. To find out the app's Semantic Object and Action, see the SAP Fiori apps reference library. You can enter the parameters required to process the activity. While creating a report category, you can assign the reporting activities - report definitions, SAP Fiori Applications, or ABAP Program to the category. While assigning you can edit the parameter values. You can set the sequence in which the activities should be processed in the Run Advanced Compliance Reports app.

NoteWe recommend that you only add activities that are relevant to your reporting process.

Document SplittingSome compliance reporting scenarios require you to split the output documents before you can send them to the tax authorities. The split can be based on number of records, or some attributes like asset type. You can now enable document splitting by specifying a query in the Define Advanced Compliance Reports app that splits the output document into the required number of files. For example, Columbia DIAN reporting is one of the use cases where document splitting helps ensure alignment with the compliance rules. As per the regulations, the generated documents for Columbia DIAN reporting must not exceed 5000 records. So, if the generated document exceeds 5000 records, you can create and enter a query that provides an output to split the document into smaller documents with a maximum of 5000 records each.

You are using a Central Finance scenario, where you are creating and editing projects in a source system and want to do the project reporting in the Central Finance system.

The WBS elements are maintained in the project system as part of a project in your source system. To allow the reporting in the Central Finance system, the project definition and WBS elements for projects created in a source system are replicated in real-time to the Central Finance system. Also changes to project definitions or WBS elements are replicated.

For the replication of project data Application Link Enabling (ALE) is used. The Intermediate Document (IDoc) for projects contains the data to be replicated.

New commitments and updates to commitments are replicated in real time to Central Finance in the following cases:

New commitments that are triggered by the creation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Updates to commitments that are:

Triggered by updates to purchase orders and purchase requisitions (for example, changes to quantities, prices, and indicators).

Triggered by goods receipts or invoice receipts. Triggered by the reversal of goods receipts or invoice receipt.

    Constraints

Commitment updates from carryforwards cannot be replicated. Carryforward is executed in the Central Finance system.

The Central Finance - Business Integration Scenario in SLT does not support the replication of commitments from source systems with a 3rd-party database with a runtime-database license.

    Effects on Customizing

In Customizing of your source system, you must ensure that the company code for which you want to replicate commitments is maintained in the view VCFIN_SOURCE_SET.

In your Central Finance system, you carry out the activities in the transaction CFIN_CMT_INIT_PREP - Preparation of Initial Load of Commitments.

In the Hedge Management Cockpit primary key figures, like incoming and outgoing exposures, derived key figures, like the net open exposure and the hedge quota, and now also status key figures, which, for example, indicate overhedge situations are available. If needed the key figures are available from hedge management perspective and also from hedge accounting perspective. In addition, the amounts of open hedge requests are also taken into account. See the available key figures in the following table:

You can use this key figure in different ways:

If you want the net hedges to be inside the target quota band, then being below might be the unwanted situation.

If you use the band like a two-step limit, then being above the lower target quota is considered as warning.

Upper Target Quota Overhedge UTQ OH Net hedges exceed the upper target quota amount

Independent of the semantic interpretation of the band, being above the upper target quota is considered as unwanted situation.

    Hedge Requests

When you face an overhedge situation you may decide to swap amounts from one period to another or to dedesignate hedging instruments completely or partially. The hedge management cockpit offers you the possibility to create a hedge request.

Two different kinds of hedge requests are available:

    Swap Request Dedesignation Request

You create the hedge requests within the Hedge Management Cockpit. Within the function Manage Hedge Request you can search for all existing hedge requests and generate a working list. You can search for the hedge request by their category (swap request or dedesignation request) and their status.

Released swap requests are relevant for the trader who searches for the released swap request and creates FX swaps according to the hedge request.
