Legacy of Faith Campaign Prayer
Loving Father, we thank you for the countless
blessings you have bestowed on our parishes and
school here in Stillwater.
We adore you, O’ Christ, and we praise you,
because by your Holy Cross,
you have redeemed the world.
St. Croix Catholic School is named after the
Holy Cross of your Son. We pray that through
our continued generosity, more and more of your
sons and daughters will experience the gift of
your redemption.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Loving God, may our Blessed Mother continue
to keep us close to your Son and inspire us to do
his work.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Heavenly Father, through the intercession of the
great Archangel, may we be confident of your
protection and guidance.
We praise you, Lord, with grateful hearts, we ask
that you continue to inspire us to generosity, so
we might support and sustain your parishes and
school. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Legacy of Faith
Capital Campaign
The parishes of St. Mary’s and
St. Michael’s, along with St.
Croix Catholic School have
kicked off the Legacy of Faith
capital campaign. Parishioners,
alumni, current families, local
businesses, and other support-
ers are invited to participate in
this Legacy of Faith campaign.
The campaign aims to build
three funds critical to our
future:
1. The Preservation Funds – support long-term needs at St. Mary’s and St.
Michael’s, to restore the existing structures, make improvements, and honor
the historic nature of these sanctuaries. Goal: $1,750,000
2. The SCCS Endowment Fund – provides an investment fund that grows
through investment returns and continued donations, while helping us fund the
school in the long term. Goal: $1,450,000
3. The SCCS Strategic Fund – provides immediate funding outside of annual
budget for strategic initiatives, ensuring educational excellence and enrollment
growth.
Goal: $300,000
Learn more on the parishes’ and school’s websites or inquire in person at
parish offices. See today’s insert for a campaign pledge update!

Coffee & Rolls Thursday Welcomes
“Coffee with a Cop”
Did you know that after St. Mary’s daily Mass on Thursdays, those attending are
invited to the Great Hall for coffee, sweets and fellowship? Volunteers take turns
making sure the coffee is hot and the sweets are ready and waiting!
On Thursday, March 28, Coffee and Rolls Thursday will be hosting “Coffee with
a Cop”. Coffee with a Cop is a community outreach event for the Stillwater Police
Department that gives them the opportunity to get in touch with area residents and to
hear and discuss their topics of concern. These informal meetings are a more
comfortable way for the department to engage in conversation with the public they
serve regarding events, circumstances or questions they might have.
We hope you are able to attend daily Mass on Thursday, March 28 and participate in
the Coffee and Rolls and Fellowship to follow. You might find that you recognize the
officer you have coffee with!
Easter Palms from Last Year
Please do not bring your blessed palms, from last Palm Sunday, to the
church for disposal. They are not used to create the Ashes for Ash
Wednesday Masses at our parishes. However, because they have been
blessed by a priest and therefore are holy objects, the palm branches
should not be disposed of in the regular fashion. Once an object is blessed, it is
considered to be in the service of God and should be treated with respect. Therefore, it
is considered sacrilegious to throw a holy item in the garbage, where it might end up in
a sewer or a landfill. Holy palms should be returned to nature. Should you wish to
dispose of them, you may bury them or burn them and spread the ashes outside.

Congratulations 8th Grade Students!
Sunday, March 17 was a special day for many young people in our Catholic community as they
received the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the sacrament of Confirmation. Ask any of our 8th
graders about the gifts they received: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety,
and fear of the Lord (reverence). You'll be amazed! NEW THIS YEAR - St. Croix Catholic 8th graders
are now invited to receive the sacrament, based on the incredibly solid formation they are receiving
during the school day. Inquire with Mrs. Ranniger for more information, [email protected].
Congratulations to these fine young people! A special thank you to Archbishop Hebda for presiding.
