Congratulations to our 2015 Scholarship RecipientsThe Hillsborough Education Foundation is proud to announce that

more than 300 of Hillsborough County’s finest students are

receiving scholarships this year. It is our number one priority to

ensure those students who are motivated and able to go to college

have the financial resources to do so. For 26 years our scholarships

have supported bigger dreams and more promising futures for

thousands of students. We would like to thank the generous donors

who partnered with us in Connecting Kids to Greatness by ensuring

that these students are given the opportunity to achieve their

academic goals.

Keilly PulgarGraduating Senior, Alonso High Ms. Pulgar is an A.P. student at Braulio Alonso High

School, is ranked #4 in her class of 515 and holds a 6.18

GPA. A cancer survivor, she was diagnosed with Acute

Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February of 2011 and

underwent chemotherapy for 2 ½ years until being

declared cancer free in June of 2013. She is Senior Class

President, Blood Drive Coordinator for H.O.S.A. and Team

Co-Captain for Relay for Life. Pulgar plans on becoming a pediatric

oncologist and help other children overcome cancer. Her scholarship was

sponsored by the Chairscholar Foundation (Dr. Hugo & Alicia Keim).

Suraj Ramrakhyani Graduating Senior, Steinbrenner High Mr. Ramrakhyani is an A.P. student at Steinbrenner High

School, is ranked #2 in his class of 544 and holds a

7.72 GPA. He is a varsity tennis player and has earned

22 Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment credits.

Ramrakhyani plans on majoring in Biomedical Science &

Business. He plans on starting an international biomedical

corporation that will help people around the world.

His scholarship was sponsored by the Tampa Bay

Workforce Alliance.

Jane A. RoseScholarship Chair, George Edgecomb Bar AssociationMs. Rose is a Senior Assistant County Attorney for the

Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office in Tampa, Florida.

She currently practices in the areas of Employment and

Regulatory Services, and is involved with many

professional and civic-minded organizations, one of which

is the George Edgecomb Bar Association (GEBA), the

scholarship donor Ms. Rose is representing this evening.
