CHRISTIAN EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY Nursery is in the main hallway of TFEC and is available during worship and Sunday School. Infant & Toddler room – 104 Preschoolers – 106 CHILDREN’S CHURCH takes place after the praise set at the 9:00AM LifeJourney Contemporary Worship Service in TFEC. Families will worship together, then the children will be dismissed to Children’s Church around 9:15-9:20 in room 108 for Children's Church and Bible story time. At 10am children are taken upstairs to rooms 207/206 & 205 for KIDZ CLUB Time. This time will include crafts, games and sometimes a small snack. Please check your child in PRIOR to worship to ensure safety for your child. Pick up will be upstairs TFEC in the back lobby area at 11:15.

YOUTH MINISTRIES

Youth Sunday school meets at 10:10AM upstairs TFEC room 200. Youth Group (Both Middle & Senior High) meets on Wednesdays, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM in TFEC.

PARENT AND ADULT CLASSES

Traditional 9:30AM Wesleyan Class in the main building, West Wing. 9:40AM Christian Encounters in the main building, East Wing. LifeJourney 10:10AM Your Turn Class in the main building, Meeting Room C. 10:10AM Relevant Class in TFEC Room 103. The Relevant class will be revisiting The Story and doing the curriculum starting 1/4. WELCOMING TIPS 1. Wear your nametag. If you need a nametag, sign up for a laminated nametag (free) or magnetic nametag ($9) in lobby. 2. Circle of 10. Greet anyone who comes within 10 feet of you. Make a special effort to greet people you do not already know. 3. Rule of three. During the first three minutes after the service, talk to people whom you do not know or who are guests. Why three minutes? That is the average time it takes guests to exit after worship, so it is important to connect before they depart.

Wednesday Night Life Wednesday Night Snack Supper at 5:15 pm for the children/youth families and adults participating in Wednesday night activities, such as KIDZ club, Youth Group, Adult Studies/Groups, Choir. For $2.50 per person, a snack supper will be served in TFEC. We are looking for Church groups or classes to sponsor a Wednesday night supper. We need volunteers to prepare and serve the suppers. Contact Vicki or Pastor Jim in the Church office for more information. We have several groups/classes for all! Feel free to visit one on Wednesdays:

Snack Supper 4/15 Pasta

Bible Reading Marathon The 6th Annual Bible Reading Marathon is scheduled for April 14

– 18 in downtown Venice at the Gazebo in Centennial Park. Volunteers also are needed to sit at the table. This is an inter-church event and open to readers of all ages who want to read

the Bible aloud for 15 minutes at a time. For more information, go to www.venicebiblereadingmarathon.com

SPECIAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOR IMAGINE NO MALARIA

Join us on World Malaria Day, Saturday, April 25, for a special pancake breakfast, served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. as we Imagine No Malaria. The cost is $10 for breakfast (the cost of a bed net to protect a person in Africa from mosquitoes). Everyone is invited.

New Communications Team Grace Communications Ministry Team is being formed to study our current methods of communications and explore the innovations of digital media and technology, including print media, web site, social media, graphic design and videos, within the ministries and programs of Grace UMC. If you are interested in serving on the Communications Team, please contact Pastor Jim in the church office.

We are expanding our regular office volunteer shifts, so we have several

opportunities for you to volunteer in the front office! NO experience

necessary, we will train you. Volunteering consists of answering the

phones, greeting and directing people to the correct staff member. There

may be some light filing and coping. You are welcome to bring in a

book to fill the quiet moments.

1. Regular every week volunteers: sign up to work the same shift every

week.

Pregnancy Solutions Volunteer Info Sessions: Do you have a heart for women facing unplanned pregnancies? Pregnancy Solutions is in need of female volunteers with daytime availability who are good listeners, wise communicators, and want to be part of empowering women to choose life. There are opportunities to serve in both Venice and North Port. Volunteer Information Sessions will be held on Monday, April 13 at 5:30pm in the Venice Office (504 E Venice Ave), and on Monday, April 20 at 9:30am in the North Port office (14400-D Tamiami Trail S).
