Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Verse 1

Amazing grace how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now I'm found Was blind but now I see

My chains are gone I've been set free My God my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy rains Unending love amazing grace

Verse 3

The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures

Resurrection Hope Let's extend the celebration of Christ's resurrection and the hope we have in Him. Through the end of this month let's daily focus on Christ's resurrection. Let's remind ourselves every day –

Christ is risen!

When we awake in the morning let's speak praise to God for the hope we have in His risen Son.

In Christ we find joy, peace, comfort and encouragement even in the midst of the uncertainty happening around us.

We have hope in Christ's return - the blessed hope. We have hope that the Kingdom of God will reign and triumph.

Let's weep with those who are weeping, encourage one another, and pray for one another. Send a card to let others know you care.

We can acknowledge that these days we're living in are hard, but we have hope because Christ is risen!

Let's keep this truth at the forefront of our minds by setting boundaries with what we allow to fill our minds.

Read one of the Gospels out loud together.

Parents, read the Resurrection story over and over to your children and grandchildren (they love repetition) - use the resurrection eggs; bake the resurrection rolls; help your children act out the resurrection story found in the Gospels.

I wonder how God will shape our thoughts and minds if we prayerfully extended the celebration of Christ's resurrection? Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed!
