After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 1992, I wanted to continue to serve my country and to support my military brothers and sisters in the field. This unwavering bond led me to create Source One Distributors, Inc. in 2003: a company established to provide improved distribution, best of class equipment and quality customer service to today’s war fighter.

Eleven years later, Source One has been recognized as one of America’s most successful and proficient military and federal law enforcement contractors. We have shown exponential growth by developing various purchasing vehicles such as the Tailored Logistics Support Program (Prime Vendor Contract) multiple GSA schedules, as well as a DoD EMALL IDIQ contract for streamlined acquisitions using MILSTRIP. This, in addition to our graduation from the SBA 8(a) Program shows that we are 100% “Committed to the Mission….®.”

By committing to our core competencies, we have also been nominated for, and have won, numerous local, state and nationally recognized awards including the National Veteran-Owned Business Association’s (NaVOBA) Vetrepreneur® of the Year, the Coalition for Government Procurement’s Most Innovative Small Business Award as well as the SBA Minority Enterprise Supplier of the Year. Though we are proud of our accomplishments, we are constantly striving to make sure our men and women in uniform are equipped to handle the challenges of 21st century warfare.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our veterans, their families and our warfighters. Whether it’s finding a job, starting a business or buying a house, at Source One we believe it is our responsibility as Americans to help those that defend our freedom become successful and productive members of the society they have fought for so long to protect. Additionally, I’d like to let you know about SERKET Racing – A racing team that competes in the Porsche IMSA GT3 Cup challenge by Yokohama with the goal of raising awareness and assistance for veterans and their families. The team works with numerous charities such as Operation Homefront, the American Freedom Foundation and the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities to support and develop programs that provide support for our best and bravest. In the past year the team has helped give away three homes to veterans and their families, provided numerous scholarships to aspiring veteran entrepreneurs and donated to programs that assist our veterans in the numerous challenges they face when coming home…and we’re just getting started.
