NC State USBC Association, Inc. Youth Scholarship  Discipline: General-Bowling  Award: $2000 Requirements: Any senior student in a North Carolina High School prior to the age of 22 (as of February 28th). Must be a current member of the NCS USBCA and bowling in certified USBC North Carolina youth league. Files a completed application with the Association Manager of the NCS USBCA. Application must be postmarked no later than March 1st. The applicant must have an unimpaired amateur standing in bowling. Our Family for Families First Foundation Scholarship   Discipline: Senior dependents of active-duty Service Member stationed at Fort Meade, Fort Bragg, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker, Fort Riley, Fort Still or Aberdeen Proving Ground  Award: $12,500 year/four years  Requirements: If you are the child of an active duty Service Members stationed at one of the following installations, you are eligible to apply: Fort Meade, Fort Bragg, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker, Fort Riley, Fort Sill, Aberdeen Proving Ground. Applicants do NOT have to live in a Picerne Military Housing home to be eligible. Palmyra Statira Pharr Scholarship Discipline: student in Cabarrus County attending UNCG Award: full ride Requirements: The Palmyra Statira Pharr Scholarship is designed to help students from Cabarrus and Rowan Counties who plan to attend UNCG. Patient Advocate Foundation’s (PAF) Scholarships for Cancer of Other Life-threatening Disease Survivors Program  Discipline: General  Award: $3,000  Requirements: Applicant must be under the age of 25 and a survivor/current patient of a diagnosis of cancer or a critical or life threatening disease. Requires completed scholarship application, essay on how diagnosis has impacted their lives and their future goals, be accepted to college, university, or vocational-technical school planning to attend full-time, medical documentation, letters of recommendation, grades transcript, and demonstrate financial need. The SECU Foundation "People Helping People" high school scholarship program   Discipline: General Award: $10,000 Requirements: The State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) takes an active role in assisting communities across North Carolina and truly believes in “people helping people!” Each North Carolina traditional public high school will receive one scholarship for a senior to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. This scholarship recognizes leadership, integrity, and community involvement. Preference will be to students whose parents or guardians and family members are public sector employees who live and work in North Carolina. Scholarship recipients in good academic

standing will be able to receive the scholarship up to a maximum of eight consecutive semesters at the same university. Students selected should not be the recipient of other large scholarships. Union Power Cooperative College Scholarships  Discipline: General  Award: $1,000   Requirements: Three scholarships will be awarded to outstanding high school seniors planning to attend a 4-year North Carolina-accredited college or university and three scholarships will be awarded to students attending a community college in North Carolina. Students will be chosen from Union Power's 5-county service area in NC, including Union, Stanly, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg and Rowan Counties, and must live in a home served by Union Power Cooperative. Applications are awarded based on 40% financial need, 30% scholastic achievement, and 30% extracurricular activities. United Methodist Women of the Western North Carolina Conference Scholarship Program  Discipline: General, church-related   Award: $500 to $10,000  Requirements: Various scholarships available. United Methodist Women of the Western North Carolina Conference have a scholarship program for students attending one of the Methodist related colleges in North Carolina (Bennett College, Brevard College, Greensboro College, High Point University, and Pfeiffer University) and pursuing an academic course of study leading to a church-related vocation such as Christian Education. All applicants must be members of the United Methodist Church and must reside within the bounds of the Western North Carolina Conference (includes the western half of NC; Mecklenburg west). VIP Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS) Program   Discipline: Information technology or related field, women  Award: Up to $2,500  Requirements: The goal of the WITS program is to support women who are enrolled at, or are accepted into, either a two or four year college or university within the US for the next school year. These women must have a career plan in information technology or a related field. Additional evaluation criteria for the program include: GPA requirements, response to an essay question, and involvement in community service and/or extra-curricular activities. WACE National CO-OP Scholarship Program  Discipline: WACE will award 195 merit co-op scholarships to high school seniors and transfer students who plan to participate in college cooperative education.  Award: Amounts vary depending on the college.
