Dear Eastminster Family, This Sunday, a new Eastminster visual identity, or logo, will be unveiled during worship. While any logo or “brand” is merely a piece of art, consistent use of the image can help convey or sym- bolize the organization. For example, Eastminster’s worship and study endeavors, our Day School and youth ministries, our Chris- tian Life Center activities and mission involvement are not disconnected from one another, rather they are all part of the same whole. They are all manifes- tations of who we are as the Body of Christ branch office that gathers together to glorify God. Over the past several months, a team of Eastminster members, aided by a com- munications agency, has polled and interviewed people ranging from visitors to community members to church officers. That input then shaped the devel- opment of the visual or “logo” that will come to represent Eastminster. The common thread that was heard and resonated with everyone involved is that Eastminster is a church that is constantly “gathering together and reaching out.” Come Sunday and check it out! Also, on another matter, Mary Baldauf is back on track! Come Thursday, Sep- tember 3 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to the Adult Reception Hall as we both acknowledge Mary’s retirement after nearly 22 years of full-time service AND as we welcome her back as she begins serving as “church visitor.” After a five month break to deal with a family illness, we are grateful to have this chance to celebrate Mary and celebrate with Mary. Finally, get on board because multiple trains are getting ready to leave the sta- tion! Sunday night classes (Bible Discovery Overview, Isaiah and Esther for Women), Wednesday classes (Paul’s letters and Alpha), scores of small groups, and service opportunities from Family Promise to footwashing, and trips to New Orleans and Haiti, are on the horizon. Dear Eastminster Family,

This Sunday, a new Eastminster visual identity, or logo, will be unveiled during worship. While any logo or “brand” is merely a piece of art, consistent use of the image can help convey or sym-bolize the organization. For example, Eastminster’s worship and study endeavors, our Day School and youth ministries, our Chris-tian Life Center activities and mission involvement are not disconnected from one another, rather they are all part of the same whole. They are all manifes-tations of who we are as the Body of Christ branch office that gathers together to glorify God.

Over the past several months, a team of Eastminster members, aided by a com-munications agency, has polled and interviewed people ranging from visitors to community members to church officers. That input then shaped the devel-opment of the visual or “logo” that will come to represent Eastminster. The common thread that was heard and resonated with everyone involved is that Eastminster is a church that is constantly “gathering together and reaching out.” Come Sunday and check it out!

Also, on another matter, Mary Baldauf is back on track! Come Thursday, Sep-tember 3 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to the Adult Reception Hall as we both acknowledge Mary’s retirement after nearly 22 years of full-time service AND as we welcome her back as she begins serving as “church visitor.” After a five month break to deal with a family illness, we are grateful to have this chance to celebrate Mary and celebrate with Mary.
