is committed to all types of waterfront activities for all sportsmen, enthusiasts, andconservationists. As our populations increase, all water sources are threatened. A moder-ate balance is needed in ensure that policies are created to be inclusive and not exclusive.

There are strong movements by extreme environmentalists on one side and overdevelopment on the other. They join forces to create an overabundance of policies that fuels an elitist, overcomplicated, impossible to ad-minister, environmentalist development machine with overpriced engineering. This combination is slowly pric-ing many people out of the recreation equation.

We are committed to protecting water quality and promoting quality of life by moderate environmentalpolicies that will support water activities and enable use and access to all sportsman and enthusiasts.

We feel that this commitment by Waterfront Sportsman will serve as a unifying presence in the outdoormarketplace. Our commitment will merge a broad array of waterfront interests and serve to educate the generalpublic as to the importance of working with our environment

Mapping the Corruption of

the Enemies in the Camp

After the signature “Sign in the Wrong Town”exposé broke in Waterfront Sportsman and madeits way to estimated millions over the internet, Imade appointments with many responsible partiesand with both the Republican and DemocraticParty Chairmen.

Jerry Meek was glad to meet with me, and MarkValentine with theEnvironmental InvestigationCoalition to discuss the BayRiver Sewage/River Dunes,NC Rural Center, Clean WaterManagement Trust Fund, andDENR/DWQ misappropriationof Clean Water Trust Fund andthe PCS Mine Scam. Jerry wasclearly not surprised withanything that I had to say aboutP e r d u e / B a s n i g h t / R a n dEnvironmental CorruptionMachine. In fact, Mark hadseveral legal exhibits preparedto explain what went on. Jerrykept one particular legalexhibits of the map of PamlicoCounty that details all the

money that was misappropriatedand the artificial sewer districtalong with supportingdocuments to have in his office. The word had already spread outof Fayetteville bout the JohnEdwards affair and the source ofmillions of dollars questionablecontributions to Edwards,Perdue, Basnight, and Rand were from Developersand Partners that were directly linked toCannonsgate, Cutter Bay, Arlington Place, and theMillridge/River Dunes Partners and the GamblingBoat Scam.

Within weeks of the meeting Jerry resigned asthe Democratic Party Chairman, wanting no part

of the pending meltdown of the Democratic Party.Jerry Meek’s bio details his previous employmentwith Fayetteville attorney Wade Byrd. Wade hasbeen recognized as the top fund raiser for theDemocratic Party and a personal friend of JohnEdwards. Wade is also a member of theEnvironmental Investigation Coalition.

Meanwhile, with a little over100,000 emails sent to LindaDaves and the Republican staffover a period of 3 years and mystopping by their office on threedifferent occasions, Linda Davesnever responded. At the sametime, I along with 6 members ofthe Environmental InvestigationCoalition met with Pat McCrorycampaign manager Richard Hudson before theGubernatorial Debate. Linda Daves saw me backstage at the Sarah Palin Rally in Greenville talkingwith Pat McCory and Sen. Elizabeth Dole for morethan 30 minutes discussing Bay River Sewage, thePCS Mine and Camp LeJeune.

As a result of the meeting, Sen. Dole’s stafferDean Hingson also met with members of theEnvironmental Investigation Coalition to discussthe Bay River Sewage Scam and the PCS MineCover up, but still no response from Linda Daves. As I continue to meet personally with RepublicanParty Elected Officials and attended several partyannouncements including Bob Crumblyannouncement for Attorney General Asheboro andFred Smith Barbecue Tour, never a word fromLinda Daves.

After meeting with State Auditor Les Merritt,James Fort with State Auditors Office, ex FBIAgent Frank Perry the lead investigator of the StateAuditors, James Fort of the State Auditors office, and Chuck Stuber of the FBI over a period ofmonths discussing the Bay River Sewage and PCSMine Scam, Linda Daves refused to mention theBay River Sewage or the PCS Mine Scams andCover up. Linda Daves has no plausible denial, she knew or should have known and breached thetrust of the Republican Party for not acting toprepare platform statements on the all water qualitysubjects throughout the state.

Linda Daves had to have known about phonecalls from the Republican Party headquarters bylegislators who called me thanking me for my workover the last 4 years.

Only when Don Yelton and I were talking withSen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Richard Burr aboutPCS and Bay River Sewage about Federal Crimesof the Perdue/ Basnight/ Rand EnvironmentalCorruption at an Asheville Republican breakfastrally did I ever hear a word from Linda Daves, she said we are late for Hickory we have to go. Itwas 7:00 am.

On the night of the Election when theRepublicans were demoralized and defeated, myphone rang all night long from Elected Officialsand Republican Party members from around thestate outraged at Linda Daves ignoring all thewater quality issues around the state includingMarines at Camp LeJeune, the PCS Mine, SludgeSpreading, the Bay River Sewage Scam and wasonly to cover up for the Perdue/Basnight/RandEnvironmental Corruption Machine.

The dead people all over the State of NorthCarolina rarely mention party affiliation in theobituaries. With Linda Daves having led theRepublican Party as a wing of Perdue/Basnight/Rand Environmental Corruption Machine, theproblem with the corruption of the Perdue/Basnight/Rand Environmental CorruptionMachine is not the people that continue to stealmoney but it is the enemies in the camps like LindaDaves who let them continue to kill people andsteal money that was supposed to protect the waterquality and people.

Yes, I was the person who called for LindaDaves to resign the day after the election. It is ashame not enoughpeople listened now thatshe has boguslyattacked Rep. CaryAllred because of hisconcerns of the peoplein his district.

Cary has beenfighting for the peoplewho are sick and dyingfrom Burlington/Labcorp scam instead ofsupporting him and his support of the Sludge Bills

HB 1170 “Where is the Sludge and Where is itcoming from?,” HB 1218 “Do not Play in theSludge, and HB 1567,” and River BasinInnovative Incentives Bill to replace the lakeJordan Rules that ignored that sludge even existed,Linda Daves is just running her mouth to drawattention from her worthless record as leader ofthe Republican Party. It will be interesting to seewhat payoff and cover up board the Perdue/Basnight/Rand Environmental CorruptionMachine will put her on.

Board appointment ofconspirator or familymember for corruption and/or obstruction of justice aspayoff method was afavorite of the 85/40running speaker Jim Blackwho used the tactic to enticefavors on his road trips forcorruption and cover up.Black liked getting out oftown where it was notobvious who he was or wastalking to, the methodworked really well until the eyes and ears ofWaterfront Sportsman were everywhere.

Job placement of conspirators like CPA DareO’Conner after she covered up my 1st. complaintand NC State Auditor’s investigation of DA JD3BScott Thomas,( Gov. Beverly Perdue’s resent pickfor Chairman of Governor’s Crimes Commissiona important job requiring an experienced whitecollar crook who knows all the other white collarcrooks) Pamlico County/River Dunes Attorney,Billy Ray Hall, and Julie Haglier, and the BayRiver Sewage District obstruction of justice andmisappropriation of Clean Water Trust Funds didnot set well with Les Merritt, James Fort, andmembers of the NC Senate when I made my 2nd

Complaint to Les Merritt personally. The meeting took on special importance to

confirm a mass conspiracy, when I explained I hadalready made a complaint of JD3B DA ScottThomas, Pamlico County/River Dunes Attorney,of Billy Ray Hall and Julie Haglier and the BayRiver Sewage obstruction of justice andmisappropriation of Clean Water Trust Funds and

I showed them Dare O Conner’s CPA NC StateAuditors and Assistant NC State Auditor BryanStrickland business cards.

Perdue/Basnight/Rand EnvironmentalCorruption Machine had reached right down intoLes Merritt Office and moved Dare O’Conner overto the Larry Leak haven for corruption the NCState Election Board. This was done in conjunctionwith Billy Ray Hall and Julie Hagleir Cubetaconspiring to use Dare O’Conner name in the 3way she said the Sharon Edmonton at NC Stateand Local Commission are not investigating. The

NC State and localGovernment had alreadynoticed Bay RiverSewage and Western BayRiver Sewage formismanagement in Juneof 2006. Billy Ray Halland Julie Haglier Cubetawere in closecommunications for allfunding parties butdeliberately lied to coverup the deliberatemisappropriation of

Sewer Treatment Capacity Funded with FederalFunds and misappropriated Clean Water TrustFunds that created a monopoly on all sewertreatment capacity for River Dunes and planned$12,500.00 impact fees kickbacks for James M.Adams and the River Dunes/Millridge Partners.

Billy Ray Hall, Julie Haglier Cubeta and thePerdue/Basnight/Rand Environmental CorruptionMachine began an elaborate shifting of people andpayoffs of all the conspirators of Sewergate, theBay River Sewage, was only one of a number ofUnsewered Community Grant Scams, Pantago,Stumpy Point, and Engelhard were only a few ofthe Sewergate for Perdue and Basnight, Tony Randwas in on the sewer scam also.

Dennis Lassiter left the NC Rural Center wasshifted to Raleigh Municipal Sewer to run thesludge dumping and spilling scam. Jean CrewsKlein P.E. from the NC Rural Center soon receiveda payoff grant of over $100,000 to spin data forthe bogus Storm Water and Jordan Lake Rulesfunded illegally with a program that was no longer

paid ad that RandyAllen andM c Q u e e nCampbell ran thatdetails 891 lotsand only 400,000gal per day sewertreatment capacity. This is less gallonsper day sewertreatment capacitythan River Dunesrequired per lot at600 lots and300,000 gallonsper day.

But the mis-leading ad was de-signed to totallyconfuse the pub-lic that the RRStonewall treat-ment plant wouldhelp all of PamlicoCounty. In realityit was just a coverup for the River Dunes owning all of the OrientalPlant 300,000 per day capacity leaving the townof Oriental in contractual municipal condemna-tion.

River Dunes, Cutter Bay, and Arlington Placewere conspiring through Jimmie Hicks to createa monopoly on development in all of PamlicoCounty by owning all the sewer treatment andpublic water supply.

In the same article it confirms a $2,960,000.00payment by RR to Pamlico County. The impactfees vary from $2,000.00 per house. How manyhouses did they pay impact fees for? In any event, that bought all that was available. Jimmie Hicksblew his cover for Cutter Bay and deserved theinterest of Pamlico County by promoting the$2,960,000.00 be escrowed in CharlotteAttorney's bank account in the Pamlico CountyCommissioners Meeting.

Waterfront Sportsman has the documents to sendpeople to jail, but conflicted newly appointed byBeverly Perdue NC Crimes Control Director/ NCSenator/ JD3B DA Scott Thomas refused NC DOJSBI Agents James Bowman and Donnie Vernell theright to investigate, saying that no one has comeforward questioning the Bay River Sewer Districtmismanagement. A full page ad run on July 24, 2006detailing the corruption by Dale Swiggett, Noticesby the NC State and Local Government Commis-sion in June 2006, and meetings with heavily in-vested Dale Swiggett and Pamlico County Commis-sioner Carl Ollison just did not qualify as signifi-cantly harmed stakeholders. Conflicted Bay RiverSewage/ Oriental Attorney Scott Davis has refusedto supply Oriental Town Councilwoman CandyBohmart a copy of this so-called ‘missing docu-ment,’ because it confirms the whole Town ofOriental owns NO Sewage Treatment. The sewertreatment capacity is owned by River Dunes andtheir lenders, but all of Pamlico County get to pay$12,500.00 impact fees to River Dunes for the sewertreatment that was suppose to cost $200.00 perhome.

Evenlobbyist Joe McClees was in on the hustle of fundsto cover up for his condo, Allen Propst, and AliceUnderhill’s’ condo projects had all been sellingcondo’s and building lots in Oriental that was incontractual municipal condemnation becauseRiver Dunes/ BB&T Bank owns the first 300,000gallons per day of the 500,000 gallon per dayillegally funded sewer plant and the 2nd phase wasnever built by TA Loving and River Dunes.

All real estate land transactions, contracts andappraisals since 2000 in Pamlico County arefraudulent because NO SEWER WASTETREATMENT was available or contracted for wasdisclosed by Pamlico County Realtors. Thousandsof property owners and sellers have been harmedby Pamlico County Developers and Real EstateAgents.

A test law suit has been filled by New BernAttorney Lee Bettis for client Gwen Hedrick ofOriental.

Gov. Beverly Perdue, and Bay River SewerDirector James Krause committed federal crimes, environmental injustice, and obstruction of justice WFS thinks our own state’s plate below says it all, in a

different sort of way than Illinois. Heck, they only haveone crooked governor while we have several. Dale thinkswe should change the motto from First in Flight to actuallybe First in Fraud. And that’s all we have to say about that.

by forcing the Bay River Sewer Board of Directorsto vote without any agenda notice, or discussionto use all available federally funded Bay RiverSewage Treatment Capacity shifted to a mediumsecurity prison to be built to house inmates fromother areas. This action harmed did not improvewater quality and did create a greater impact onwater quality.

This prison was not an existing need, anddeliberately ignored the specific intent to reduceNitrogen by removing existing septic tanks, constantly reduce the number of septic tanks andmaintain sewer treatment capacity for the futureneeds on the Hwy 304 in the community ofBayboro, Vander mere, and Messick. The sewertreatment capacity did not belong to Bay RiverSewage, Bay River Sewage were only the trusteesto see the Federal Funds and the treatment createdwere properly managed. Not the personal assetsof Beverly Perdue and James “the Crook” Krause.

A Mass tort Class Action lawsuits will be filedin the future against responsible and liable partiesfor harmed parties that is likely to become part ofthe largest personal injury and property loss classaction law suit in United States History.

Dippin’ a Line with Irresist-ible Hand Tied Lures

There’s nothing better than jiggin’ up yourfishing line with a hand tied lure. The first thingyou do, of course, is crack open your beer (or soda,if you’re a teetotaler). Then, open up your tacklebox and select a lure.

Taking careful measures as to not stab yourselfwith the hook covered up by feathers or fuzz, youtie it to your line. Then, casting your eye out acrossthe water, you then cast your line out.

Just to test the waters, you reel in your line tosee if there’s anything out there around your lure. This also gives you a chance to also see if there isany underwater debris that you have to navigatewith your fishing line.

In NC, our fresh bodies of water are home tospecies like large and small mouth bass, sun fish, and crappie. There’s always the occasional catfishor gar that someone reels in, too. And you have toconsider what type of lure will bring the best resultsfor a fun episode of fishing.

Now, WFS knows a good ol’ boy who makesall his own lures, plus supplies his immediatefriends and family. And his lures look like worksof art that a person would be tempted to put ondisplay in a curio cabinet with other favoritearticles loved by outdoor sportsmen (and women). But the best thing is that our friend makes luresthat actually bring ‘em in and keep ‘em on thehook.

Here are some beautiful hand tied lures -a Wooly Bugger (top), a Mallard Maribou Flank

(middle), and a Cat Tail Streamer (bottom) - readyfor freshwater fishing. A fisherman can have thebest lures money can buy but is only as good asthe knot that he/she ties when they’re ready to

attach to the end of their line.

That’s the best compliment to aperson who hand ties lures -function and form meshing togetheras one!

Because NC boasts some of thevery best fresh and salt water fishingaround, a fisherman’s tacklebox willnormally have lures of severaldifferent types and sizes.

WFS staffers watched ourTarheel native friend finish up on aPink Octopus that measured up tosix inches in length and featured atreble hook for one of his buddieswho was getting ready for a trip tothe Outer Banks. This particular lurewas a work-in-progress, so we’ll be featuring saltwater lures in a later WFS e-zine/newsletter editionlater this summer.

Our waterloving friend told us the story of howhe went fishing with this father and lost his firsttwo lures. After careful tying to his fishing line,he cast out and started to reel in slightly. He felt asmall tug but then his line went slack. After reelingin his line and seeing his lure gone, he figured hedidn’t tie a good enough knot.

The second lure he tied on, he made doubly surehe had a secure know. He cast his line and samething happened again. Completely puzzled, hedecided to check his line.

Sure enough, it was his line. He should’vechecked it for strength and elasticity. Turns outhis line was becoming slightly brittle, causing itto snap and break on debris very easily and alsowhen a fish did chomp down on the lure.

So, the lesson here is to check your lines andalso to ensure you’ve tied a good enough knot toattach your lures to your line.

As an afterthought, our fellow waterman alsotold us there was one other important rule for allfisherman to follow. He smiled wryly and cockedhis head to the side to wink while he finishedattaching some eyes to the lure he was workingon and said, “All guys must keep in mind theramifications of actually adopting the attitude

These gorgeous hand tied lures just melt into thebackdrop of an Eastern NC swamp featuring black

water that is home to bass, crappie, and otherspecies. A tremendous amount of skill, time, andpatience is necessary to produce good caliber

lures for both fresh and salt water fishing.

towards their fishing hobby that country star BradPaisley espouses in his famous song the fishin’song. Well, that’s if they’re married.”
