Collect and Submit Water Samples
We will ship out your water sampling kit with everything you need including:
• Water Sampling Bottles, Insulated Cooler, Ice Packs, Bubble Wrap
• Easy to Follow Directions to Properly Collect Your Water Samples (see next 2 slides)
• Example of Completed Sample Submission Form • Blank Sample Submission Form and Ziploc Bag

Water Samples
When you are ready to ship your water samples, please pack them with
completely frozen ice packs. • Water samples must be received at the lab
at a temperature no warmer than 12.4° C or 54° F
#2 Freeze the ice packs
Water Samples
• Wash hands to prevent cross contamination • Leave the crystals in the bottle • Hold the bottle at an angle to collect sample • Fill the bottle to the 100mL line or above • Clearly label the bottle with a Sharpie marker
#3 Collect the Water Samples Do this as late in the day as possible as ABC must
receive the samples within 24 hours of the collection date / time

Please fill out the shaded portion. • Check off requested analysis • Fill in collector’s name and contact information • Identify each sample and the collection date and time • Include the name and contact information for person to receive the final report • Place the completed form in a sealed Ziploc bag

Clearly Label and Identify your Samples (i.e. Sink A) Include: Collection date (i.e. 10/5/12) Collection Time (i.e. 4:30 PM)
Fill in the Name, address, and email address of person to receive report
Water Sampling Techniques
Ship via FedEx or UPS Next Day Delivery • Place bottles, sample submission form, and frozen
ice packs in the insulated cooler • Pack bottles securely with bubble wrap so they do
not break during shipment • Close the cooler and box and seal with tape • Ship the samples via Next Day Delivery as we must
receive the samples within 24 hours of the collection date and time
