1. Find the range of a 4 kg projectile launched at a 45 degree angle with an initial velocity of 7 m/s.

Newton’s First Law
An object’s velocity will not change unless a force acts on it.
What is a force?
A force is: a Push or Pull
Equilibrium
An object is in Equilibrium when it’s velocity is not changing
Net Force: sum of all forces on an object
If an object is in equilibrium then: The net force on the object is zero
Force is measured in NEWTONS
Inertia: Tendency of an object to resist changes to its motion
Mass: Intrinsic characteristic of an object which defines it resistance to changes of its acceleration
Newton’s Second Law
F = ma Force = mass * acceleration OR m = F/a a = F/m
