This region is located in the southeastern part of the country, bordered on the east of Ukraine, on the south with Slovakia and with the provinces: lubelskie,

świętokrzyskie i małopolskie. The capital and most important city in the province is Rzeszów. The three largest rivers in the province are right tributaries of the Vistula River: San and Wisloka and tributary of the San: Wisłok
