- New events created for Foundation Levels – Festivals - NL 7-10 Qualification Competition # 2 now a two day event - NL 6 will have competition on their own weekend - Club Level Events – Modified NL routines – details under each event in WAG Event

6.0 Judging in 2015 Tracy Holmes presented: - All judges with the exception of FIG and Advanced silver are currently unaccredited - New Qualifications
• Advanced Eligible for 7-10 and below, must qualify to judge at Australian Championships. Course on 7-8 February
• Intermediate Eligible to judge NL 3-6 and below. Compulsory routines. Courses 6-7 June and 1-2 August
• Beginner Eligible to judge Foundation Levels – Global competency based judging Courses 7 June and 11 October
- Judge’s Education day will be held – no date set at this stage
- New Judging nomination system to come into play when GWA changeover to new
CRM.
- Changes to judge ratios
- Panels posted to GWA event page
- NL 6 QC 1-3 and Autumn States will be judged by FIG and Advanced judges only

Event Proposal
• Levels 4 – 6 ‘Talent’ Squad
1. 2014 Team first training session held in November 2014
2. Session very well attended by Club Coaches
3. Squad Coaches received significant positive feedback
4. Second training session is Sunday 15th February
1. Open forum to discuss all things Elite
2. Meet twice a year. Recommendations to WAG TC
• First 2015 Forum is scheduled for Sunday 19th January
• Unfortunately 2nd for 2014 wasn’t held.
3. Also to act as informal education/question sessions

Technical Regulations &
Handbook Changes
The draft version of the WAG Event Handbook were completed by
the WAG TC and sent out to clubs for feedback. No feedback was
received except from the Regions.

6 This event is now a 2 day event, awards based on the
combined scores from both days. This is to mirror
Australian Championships.

There is no Club Levels stream, so the technical content
to be competed in these events is outlined under each
Event. It is the same for all Club Levels Events.
2015 Technical Regulations
The draft of the WAG Technical Regulations was completed by the
WAG TC and sent out to clubs for feedback. No feedback was
received from Clubs.

Requirements
14 NL 1 – 2 & IL 2 Events are to have min 1 Beginner
judge per station, with Supervisors allocated.
State Team Selection
18-22 The number of athletes selected into a team has
changed, as well as the scores. These scores are based
off judging done with assisting GA to prepare the
Advanced Judging course.
Transfers between
Streams
26 Simplified wording, hopefully making it easier to
understand.
Talent Squad26-27 Name of the squad changed to reduce confusion with
High Performance. Simplified Level 6 selection.

Provisional planning underway. Proposal for WAG TC &
Judges Committee run training at HBF Stadium with
Advanced & FIG judges to provide feedback / help with
routine construction.
Talent Squad & Stacey
Umeh
Provisional planning underway, pending Stacey’s
availability. Intention is to engage Stacey to create a WA
ballet program specific for ALP 4 & 5.
NL 1-2 & IL 2 Events
GWA Board enabling the GWA Office & WAG TC to make
changes after events, in order to quickly develop and
improve these events.

1) Judge nominations: to be submitted on Event Entry Form. Schedules will be
available prior. Note - won’t be in place until new CRM.
2) Judge ratios
• NL 1 & 2 and IL 2 - 1 judge per 8 gymnasts
• NL 3-10 as per 2014 - 1 judge per 5 gymnasts
• IL 4-10 and Jun/Sen International - no nominations required
3) All panels will be listed on event web page (first and final versions)
4) NL 6 QC 1 -3 and Autumn States: For 2015, will be judged by Advanced and FIG
judges only.
5) Winter Foundation Festival (NL 1&2 and IL 2) : NO judge nominations required for
this event.

Common questions:
1) Should we have run some ALP presentations prior to
Conference?
2) Intermediate Judges course is being run after QC events, so only
Advanced judges can judge QC events – was that deliberate?
3) Beginner Judges course is really close to the first Festival event,
those judges won’t be able to be on the floor?
