To God Be the Glory
1. To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
o Refrain:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.
2. Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3. Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

ENHANCED COMMUNICATIONS WITH OUR MEMBERS
Well-being Check-in Calls: As you know, our Church is fully engaged in continuing support and encouragement to our members and the community during this season of pandemic and social justice imperatives. Our leadership sees the need to reach out to our members to ensure their access to Church information and services while we remain under social distancing restrictions. The Church office volunteers, augmented by other Church members, will be calling members beginning July 1 to check on well-being and inquire about technology support at home. Your response to the volunteers will greatly enhance improved communication from the Church.
Special Request: As we have advised you, Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ is moving to a new email platform. By this time, you should have received an email from the Church welcoming you to our new MailChimp email platform. If you have not received a welcoming email, please contact Deacon Francis Smith ([email protected]) with your preferred email address and telephone number. The current email platform will be retired at the end of the month. Thank you for your assistance with updating our database and church directory.
In church Worship Services, Activities and Events remain suspended until further notice.
In order for us to continue to operate safely and within the CDC Guidelines as
well as the DC government guidelines, we have had to put new practices in place.
Schedule: Since we can only have a limited number of essential individuals in
the building at any one time, a schedule has been set in place. If you need to
come to the church, simply contact the Office Staff either by email:
[email protected] or by calling 202-829-5511 and the staff will get you
on the schedule.
1. Accessing the building: Strict procedures are in place which you will find
posted at the front door (see below).
• Only one (1) person will be buzzed through the doors at a time.
• Each individual will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer.
• If an individual’s temperature is above 100o they will not be allowed to remain in the building.
• Individuals MUST wear a mask at all times and use hand sanitizer.
• Individuals must sign-in and sign-out at the front desk.
• Individuals must maintain 6 feet of social distancing.
