The IAM Difference
• Statistically, IAM Advanced Drivers are safer. 18 month study concluded that “advanced driver training produces safer drivers and lower accident involvement”, with measurable improvements in knowledge, skills and attitude (2006, Brunel University)

Preparing for the IAM Advanced Test

• A group “Observer” will help assist you in your “Skill for Life” programme
• The Observer will take you on a series of drives giving advice on the techniques of Advanced Driving

The Advanced Test
• A daytime test using your own vehicle, lasting approx 90 minutes
• The test route covers all types of roads
• It includes a full and constructive de-brief
• All IAM Examiners hold a Police Advanced Driving Certificate

Cycling – a new venture for the IAM
• Provide cycle training through existing, qualified instructors across the UK
