Description Arriezu Vineyards is a young wine cellar founded with the goal of producing the best organic wine with grapes from their own vineyards. José Félix Arriezu, our CEO and founder, after years of study and projects, decided to start his own adventure, and begin the project choosing the best vineyards. Nowadays it has 72 Has attached to D.O.C. Rioja, where the estate “Los Mejicanos” stands out. It is a 43 Has plot from where you can see the Ebro Valley and a sea of vineyards, that curiously is the origin of more than 25% of the actual D.O.C. Rioja vineyards. This is because it has been an inexhaustible source of vine shoots production for the vine plant producers for years. Moreover, in Pozaldez Arriezu Vineyards has 90 Has attached to D.O. Rueda. It is in the estate “La Sombría” where our selection of pre-phylloxera Verdejo shows its ultimate expression. Our wines have won several awards in national and international contests. A good example of this is Prowein, held in Germany, where in three consecutive years our wines have been awarded with gold medals, and special categories such as “Best of Show Rueda” or the “Best Value” award in the CWSA of Hong Kong.

Description A family winery since 1923 and several generations. The founder, Vicente Garrido, made his first wine in 1923 and his son Eduardo Garrido in 1945. The vinification has been completely made on the winery. All this time we have been in business under the family ownership. The Eduardo Garrido Wine Cellar is located in Abalos, (La Rioja), Spain, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains in the heart of Rioja Alta. For over 500 years, Abalos and its surroundings have been home to the best quality vineyards and wines in Spain. Eduardo Garrido, the proprietor and winemaker, has maintained the deep traditions and abiding sprit of the family wine cellar of the Rioja, preserving and carrying on the unique teachings of his father, Vicente, who founded the winery in 1923. Our production is small: 30.000 liters of wine per year from 4 hectares of local vineyards of unique characteristics; one with aged vines for our Reserva and Gran Reserva wines, and the other with younger vines for the Joven and Crianza wines. We age our fine wines in approximately 100 barrels of French and American oak.

Our 35 ha of own vineyards have an average age of 45 years, are located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja Alta, and are cultivated in an 100% Organic way, betting on biodiversity and sustainable development. Description Bodegas Castillo de Sajazarra began in 1973 with the purchase of the castle by the Líbano family and its recovery as a place for the elaboration and aging of wines that it had had in the past. The current building in the castle gardens creates an environment of unique beauty, together with the surrounding vineyard, forming an authentic "chateau". Currently there are almost 50 hectares of own vineyards in production (mainly tempranillo, but also graciano and garnacha) in the most extreme area of Rioja Alta, which gives our wines a day in the Atlantic character. The soils are calcareous and very poor clay, so the average productions range between 4,000 and 6,000 kilos per hectare. To get to achieve a perfect political maturity, expect a harvest very late, finish doing during the month of November. All the wines that we obtain in the elaboration after the American and French oak barrels, between 18 and 30 months, depended on the final product to be obtained. Apart from our Rioja reds we also produce a white and a rosé within the Denomination of Origin Alella, the names of the vineyards that we have in the place known as "Bell-Lloc" (beautiful place) located in the Catalan municipality of La Roca del Vallés.

Description San Esteban was the first cooperative winery built in La Rioja (1953) and was composed of 16 members at that time, now there are more than 480. A modest modernization of the facilities started in the 80s by incorporating stainless steel tanks. In 2000 a major expansion was approved, with the latest technology in terms of production and bottling. The origin of the grapes is exclusively from our own vineyards. Our vineyard includes 550 hectares of old vines, the oldest is from 1900. Located where the Jubera River meets the Leza River, our vineyards are planted on clay-ferrous soils at an altitude between 407 and 420 meters. The Mediterranean climate has well distributed rainfall throughout the year. The result is the highest quality of grapes, whose production is naturally regulated by the natural water experienced by the plant. The experience and enthusiasm of our grape growers, advised by our experts, do the rest, thus obtaining outstanding results of our best terroirs. The grapes which constitute the basis for our wines enter inside the winery at their optimum level of ripeness and under total oenological control. There is meticulous expert advice from technical staff at vineyards in order to control the annual cycle of the vineyard. From pruning to the treatments to be performed, each plot is thoroughly monitored so that the final product of a top quality of wine is ensured.The wines made are a perfect example of La Rioja expressing the terroir of Murillo de Rio Leza located only 11 km from Logroño.

At the start of the 1990s, a vineyard was purchased in Fuenmayor, a municipality in the Rioja. This was the ideal location for the construction of the new installations which the winery continues to use to date. This construction began in 1995. Aiming to maintain traditional features, stones were bought for the construction of the winery from abandoned 19th century railway stations. A 10 meters deep excavation was made in the warehouses to allow the aged and reserve wines to rest and mature. Construction of the new installations concluded in 2001, the same year as the first HERAS CORDON wine was produced in the new installations – classified by the Regulatory Board as an excellent harvest and a vintage of the century. There are fifty hectares on the property for the production of these great wines, plus the acquisition of the harvest from a further sixty hectares from local farmers who are assessed to ensure excellent grapes are obtained. All the vineyards are in two sub-areas of great prestige and high quality: Rioja Alta (Cenicero, Fuenmayor and Navarrete), and Rioja Alavesa (Laguardia, Elciego and Lapuebla de Labarca). Later, in 2004, the “HERAS CORDON BOTTLER’S CLUB” was started: 142 customers receive their bottles in accordance with an annual consumption agreement, wherein they are allowed to use the installations and personalise their bottles. At the end of 2005, a private restaurant (capacity: 50 people) and a function room (capacity: 30 people) were opened for the exclusive use of the winery and members of the bottler’s club. The near future will see the opening of a warehouse to house the end product, a shop to sell wines and a small hotel with 8 rooms for customers and friends.

Carmelo Ortega is nowadays the owner of the winery. He has followed the trajectory began in 1896 by his great-grandfather, D. Quintín Ortega. The Ortega family is one of these vine-grower families who have learnt how to develop and improve with the new times; changing their philosophy of quantity and generous yields into quality and low yields. Tudelilla is very well know in the DOCa Rioja as it is considered the "outstanding quality island" of Rioja Baja. This consideration is due to the singular features of the land and the soil in this area, called "La Pedriza de Tudelilla" and situated 650 meters high. The name in Spanish "Pedriza" means stony ground, very poor soil and airy. Tudelilla has always been our most important bet and, for this reason, we are very proud to announce that Ortega Ezquerro is the first winery registed in this category. Last year we launched our ORTEGA EZQUERRO Vino de Pueblo 2017, and this year you will be able to taste 2018 and the barrel-aged 2017. He makes his wine since 2011 in the small family winery, located in Badarán, Rioja Alta. Restoration and reform by him, to adapt it to the winemaking processes of today, always vinifying in concrete tanks. THE TERROIRS:

- Viña Barracallo, this forty-years old vineyard has autochthone varieties like Viura or Tempranillo as well as varieties considered as experimental in Rioja like Chenin Blanc and Cabernet-Sauvignon. In a stony alluvial soil with quartzites from the quaternary period, very poor, it reminds us the Medoc in Bordeaux. Production: around 5,500 kg/Ha. Altitude: 551m

- Viña El Moral. With more than 100 years of life, it has the Garnacha variety. It is located in a soil of clay and iron loam of the Tertiary period, with a reddish colour and with an outcrop of silex and pebbles. Cataloged as Singular Vineyard by the Consejo Regulador of the DOCa Rioja from the 2018 vintage. It’s possible now to taste the 2014 vintage. Production: around 3,500 kg/Ha. Altitude: 623m

The Vineyards of this family winery have a middle age of 60 years and spread over the regions of Laserna and Laguardia, achieving, year after year limited yields and ideal ripeness that produce grapes of balanced composition an wines with a very expressive character. The vines are cultivated in a number of parcels, all under four hectares in extension and all very close to our winery location. This has made our wines have complex structure and personality derived from the terrior of these parcels for generations. Our wines have been exported during the last three years and have received international recognition and awards. Using the most advanced technology in a modern winery in the centre of Laserna, we make about

250.00 litres of wine, most of which is red plus a small amount of white and rose. The racemes are harvested by hand, in the traditional vintage baskets of 20 kg capacity avoiding the deterioration of the grape assuring it arrives at the winery in ideal conditions without problems of oxidation.
