Missions
The Christ the King LWML Quilters Circle was established more than 21 years ago to provide quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Over the years the members have made and shipped approximately 2,000 or more quilts. Presently, the quilters make between 90 and 100 quilts every six months. They are taken to a Lutheran World Relief boxcar in Spokane and shipped to Minneapolis to be vacuumed to a smaller volume and then shipped to Baltimore to be distributed all over the world wherever there is a need. We believe our quilts go to Asia. The total yearly number of quilts made by all the Lutheran churches in the United States is about 450,000 quilts.
